This does branch off into a question about preference, so kindly bear with me here.
Ariel and Chris from Is This A Zombie? along with Elizabeth from Persona are ideal.
There's something to be said for an otherwise normal-looking, even cutesy girl who happens to have the capacity to defy life and death, and who has Godlike abilities. I'm not sure what it is, but it's awesome and somehow really attractive.
In real life, this translates primarily to my personal preference for highly assertive, confident, even argumentative personalities. Not dominant, not tsundere, just assertive and with healthy self-sufficience. Which, as I've introspected, probably stems from how much unattractiveness I see in people with little to no confidence in themselves. It also makes me gravitate toward tomboys.
I know a typical "type" a decent number of guys like is the somewhat shy or quiet, reserved personality. Which I just don't get, admittedly, though I wish I did. Where's the fun in sharing a relationship with someone with those traits, or, to its pathological extreme, has an emotional dependence?
I'm curious, what is your ideal type, both fantasy and realistically?

Both fantasy and IRL i prefer if it's someone who can stand for himself.
On my university, when i started it there was an couple. The boy was a bit chuuniobyou, comics/spider man fan, and the girl was strong. Even when some guys picked on him, she answered right back(they called her the "macho-lady").
I simply tought that she was awesome and he was stupid/an fag. Good for her, now they're not together anymore, she deserves better.
About godlike beings, i prefer me being an megalomaniac(i still dream about a blacklight-like virus, so good...), i'm afraid of a girl being it will cross into yandere territory, and from that i prefer distance. I like whe standing for herself, maybe even kicking some ass, just not mine ;)
