I want to become a teacher.

When i'm old lets say about 45yrs old i want to become a teacher. I want to teach what i'm learning right now which is automotive technology. Why i want to become a teacher is because i have been inspired by both good and shitty teachers i have had.The current teacher i have right now he is a terrible instructor. He teaches class like if the students know what he is talking about. I had a test today and the whole class got a very low grade. Many people i know said in the past that he is a terrible instructor and i didn't believe until now.I want people to learn from people who do what they do with a passion like myself. At that age i won't be too old right? I want to be one of the best teacher out there like the one's i had before. I want to be certified in both auto and diesel(trucks) technology and be able to teach it to other's one day too.

I'd like to teach History, or a Foreign language, both of which have no use in America, I guess. I'm kinda SOL there, but what you want to teach will never go out of use.

If you want to be a teacher, you actually have to start early... get your degree and all that.
It takes quite some time, though not as much as other careers.
So starting around 45 might not be the best choice.

If you want to do that just go for it and start now. If you put it off too long then you wont have enough time to get your goal.

I would have to disagree with you on that. "ALL of the stuff" you need to know comes from the book and from others who know the information. Experience allows you to know how apply that information and how to instruct others on that information. So claiming that all that is required is experience shows, what's a good way to put this, a gross misunderstanding on the concept of formal education. Not to put down your dream, but whatever subject you intend to teach, you need to KNOW the information as well as show how it can be interpreted and applied.
