[b]Hey well I have always liked anime figures (not action figures) I mean the statue like ones, anyway I like ones of girls mostly and I wanna know what is a good site to buy them from? other than Ebay, and I already know about amazon. I mostly am looking for an online store that has a large selection.

I order from www.hammergirlanime.com they have a decent amount of figures of all types and sizes. And if your lucky they will have some amazing ones on clearance.

I mainly use Hobby Search( http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/ ), their not always the absolute cheapest, by a meager amount. However their shipping is fast, and the team is fantastic to work with if you ever encounter an issue.
Plus, just look at their selection... I mean, christ.
Just be prepared to take your time acquiring a collection. You generally have to reserve/await a release date(which tends to be around 3 months from when reservations start) to get an upcoming figure. You won't find many/any places that keeps them in stock for long periods of time. Japan is small, after all. Not too much storage room.
If you miss the release date, you can try searching for it on Ebay/Amazon. People buy and then sell newly released figures in other countrys pretty fast. However, I've never bought one from ebay, so just be careful. If it's cheaper by a significant amount, there is probably a reason. Which is generally not good.

Xil is right. Hobbysearch's customer service is freaking amazing! They hold stuff for me no problem as long as I was willing to go through with the transaction with them.

I've been collecting for years and have several thousand dollars worth of figures. I really recommend staying away from Ebay when buying figures because it is very easy to get duped. Sellers will often list a picture of a legit figure only to send you a terrible knock off instead. I only made that mistake once.

Hmm, if you are someone who go ebay to buy ur figurines, u're either really desperate or cheap-o-monger. If you wanted VALUE for MONEY can always look to a fellow fakku friend for help.
Just saw your post so if you're interested in any figurines and needed a trustworthy opinion or option, do try to click on the link below, you may just get what you've wanted all along :)
For people who started/ wants to start figurine collection X3

Dont go to eBay, but if you have to buy from there be really careful about where the seller is located, because if its in china there is a 99% chance the figure you get will be fake.

Yeap, effin love amiami. Also has anyone tried tokyo-hunter.com, yet? Friends who did claim that they are pretty good, too.

I have been navigating sites for the past week and eBay is totally not a good place to start. Too many bootlegs that's for sure and people rip you off!
Try the ones people have been recommending like amiami, j-list (some figures, not all, since they have a decent point system), and play-asia. Hobbysearch is also good too!
