I feel kinda bad because I got my shoulder messes up. It's been about a week and it hasn't got much better, just that there is less pain and i can move my hand around more, and the worst part is now I cant go to summer football training camp which blows since i cant play with my team. I'm a big lineman but i cant do weight training that requires me to use my right arm or shoulder so i feel pretty useless. Should i concentrate on my techniques or lose some weight and try to be faster? I just feel bad I cant go out with my team and crack some heads. Anyone got any advice?

Have you seen a doctor? What did you do to injure yourself?
I have yet to see a doctor but i will soon.
As in the how i injured well I was feeling like a kinda cocky that day, I didn't warm up properly and ended up biting more than I could chew. 2 days before the incident I benched 240 and squatted 405 pounds. I tried again trying to bench 250, i got the whole weight up but my shoulder was crying in pain after that.

Immediate treatment of heat then ice might have helped. Injury like that after 3 days means see a doctor.

Advice on you being depressed: Find something else to do.
If football is all you care for, then getting to know your body better, and re-acquire your perception on what your body can handle. Some more studying about muscle building and proper lifting techniques would be highly suggested so you don't get yourself into this type of situation again.
Sometimes your depression is caused by not knowing what to do. If you plan ahead, or at least have a bit of foresight on things to come, you be fine.
For example:
I would give an arm and a leg to play in the next Superbowl.
PRO - I'd play in the Superbowl!!! YAY!!!
CON - I'd play horribly in front of millions of people with only one arm and leg, and never ever will play again professionally.
So what do you really want?

I have been icing my shoulder but i been told injuries like mine can last anywhere from a week to several months. Although hopefully it wont last more than a month or since it was that grave.
And yeah i do feel bad i cant be with my teammates for now so ill just focus on losing some weight and getting faster to make up in my lost weight training.
Ive learned my lesson and i wont do anything retarded like that ever again.

Focus on another part of the game. Watch game tapes, read about football. If your shoulder is messed train your lower body with dumbbells, do lunges holding one dumbbell with the non-injured shoulder hand, train your core. Squats with one dumbbell etc. Go running, do HIIT,. Lots of alternatives. Lay off the shoulder and pray for a fast recovery.
You won't get any faster with a messed shoulder though, since the running motion requires your shoulder a bit for the momentum. I'd say the best thing to do is just to work on your core for now and properly diet to lose weight.
Goes without saying but I'll say it anyways. Don't push the healing process, it'll come when it'll come.

Grow a pair pussy...I dislocated my knee, popped it back into place and then I went on with my day...even had gym class the next period. It felt weird because my knee kept wobbling everywhere.

I understand, I fucked up my shoulder playing football. I used to be able to reach my arm with my fingers pointing upward to the top of my back, then it was painful to even reach halfway. Kept me from working out a lot. Overtime, it should get better, my shoulder isn't the same but it's better.
Go see a doctor, best solution.

Swimming's good for when you're injured, right?
Maybe take that up: it eases the weight but you still get to work out.

Just to add onto this comment: Not right off the bat after an injury though. Maybe when he gains some sort of mobility in his shoulder he should go for it but right now no, I wouldn't recommend that he go swimming after his injury.

You should just relax until your shoulder gets better.
It's better to relax now and heal yourself before

As long as we are sharing " I fucked up my shoulder this way" stories, I messed mine up dive rolling over seven people. And you know what? I was still playing Frisbee, doing Parkour, working out, and knife throwing regardless. Still hurt when I put to much strain on it. I should probably see a doctor. It happened like April first or second.
