Today at WWDC, Apple demonstrated their upcoming mobile operating system for iPhones, iPod touches and iPads: iOS 5. It will be available in the fall and will support the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, 3rd- and 4th-generation iPod touch, and iPad and iPad 2. It contains more than 200 updates and is the biggest revamp of iOS to date.

I recall yesterday on Hexxeh's blog he posted a ton of links to a leaked version of iOS5 for iphone/touch/ipad/tv. Too bad it's taken down now.
As for iOS 5 I'm excited to see tabs in safari, and that swipe down menu reminds me of a more functional sbsettings. Built in image editing and split keyboards are also bamf.
It's too bad they couldn't integrate facebook however, considering that I'm not a twitter user at all.

Half of these have been pillaged from Android (and Winamp in the case of wifi sync), but it did need them.

i am sad, i dont see this for iphone 3g, they totally left out the originated form of 3gs what a shame apple what a shame. i am dissapoint. thanks for sharing too!

Android didn't even exist back then and look at what Android 2.3 supports. Most phones from 2009 can't even run it smoothly.
Apple did a pretty darn good job, supporting the 3Gs.
