I am about to to start jump roping and seriously get into it. I want to lose about 30 pounds. Of course i am gonna be running too but i thought jump roping will be a good thing to do with running. I was wondering if the Buddy Lee jump rope is worth it? Amazon link Any advice you can give me will help like reaching a certain swing per minute before i start mixing it up with tricks.

Get a speed rope from anyplace. They prolly cost around 5 bucks + tax that apply. Fuck 40 dollars for a skipping rope.
As for tips, just jump rope til you get the endurance to go for long durations. After that pretty much just jump rope some more and you'll get the timing and coordination to do tricks without slowing down. The trick is PRACTICE.
