Know When To Start A Relationship

Although i've never been in a relationship
I wanted to know what most poeple think of this
Asking my friends got me little, my opinion on it is that you at least have to know the person well enough to call them a good friend, but from my friends, they say you could never be with someone you thought of a friend once. I can't think of having a good relation with someone that I didn't know for long.
So basicly, Topic, Where can YOU start a relationship from?
Do you think about "Love At First Sight"? Or does there have to be some action to get in romanticly?

When I start up in a relationship, it usually begins with meeting at an event or through friends. And there is usually already the interest there, but the more we talk to more the interest grows. So eventually we grow to the point of wanting to date. Its not usually just throwing myself into something...it has to build up.
Although, as for the friends thing...that can be tricky.
If I change to just thinking about somebody as a friend and not romantically, I usually can't see them in a romantic sense after that.

For the last 28 years of my life i started relationships on just the corny horny pick up line.. of course those relationships lasted between a nut shot to a living hell of a woman unquenchable hate and rage. My current relationship is with my best friend and my babies mama(even before we was in a real relationship she was my ex and baby mama)... i happy with this way.. but back to your question. You start your relationships and any point inside your mind, be it from a friend to some random girl you hit on to the sky the limit. Do i believe in love at first sight.. no i believe in lust at first sight.. but i can denied that the first girlfriend i had is now my wife.. so does the idea of love at first sight holds up.. i guess in my case, sure. This is a question a outsider to your relationships can answer with true answers because this is your life here... you know when to ask a girl or boy... because i not sure what sex you are. Follow your heart and it will never lied to you... it might follow your lower brains view point, but it just a experience.

well in my experience when you start a relationship to quick it will end pretty bad (in my case), you have to know the "little things" of your couple and that only comes with time. So first be friends and if both feel something move to the next step.

All I can say is..meet the person. Of course start out as friend and work your way up to dating. Personally, that's how it goes for me..talking and talking until bam we felt like we grown to actually love and be able to honestly say we love each other. I mean of course as nice as that sound there are always risks. For example, being cheated on. Happened to me in 80% of my relationships. But, I guess that's because I failed at being good enough for them or something. But, just make sure you know the person and that there isn't something you're missing about them that can screw you over later.

Both people have to want it. So it could be "at first sight" or never. Some people won't date you, no matter what you do or how hard you try. It may seem unfair, but eh, I'm sure everyone on Fakku knows that life is unfair.

I dont believe in that "you have to be friends first or it wont last". I met my bf through internet (irc) and we had only chatted a bit there. Then we met one day because we happened to be in the same city at the same time and we've been together since then. And at first we only saw each other on weekends (usually 2 times a months) and usually on holidays. Now we have been together for 7 years and we live together.
But we may be a rare case, because our personalities are a 100% match (not saying we are 100% same, but everything about us just clicks together somehow) and people have actually mistook us for siblings too :D
I'd say there's no rule for when to start a relationship, its just something you'll know when the time comes.
