Stephen Harper promised an elected Senate, then goes and appoints three guys the public decided weren't worthy. He did it right after a public address, so it didn't have to answer questions about it. And he changed around the cabinet.

Thoughts? I'm pretty pissed that he went back on his word. And not even a month into his term. To think we're stuck with this for 4 more years...

So Canada is an Bicameral parliamentary democracy where the PM can put nonelected people into legislative power... seems wrong but hey elections are bullshit by nature.

I hear you. Well we may not have it as bad as you we are slowly getting there but people just need to wake up and smell the bullshit and realise the government is working for themselves and not us. I get really annoyed when I come across people who say they don't pay attention to politics and that is the reason why politicians have been able to screw us from behind our backs because not enough people are paying attention to what these assholes are doing.

id have to agree with you there. part of the problem is, were so far gone, america anyway, i dont know squat about canadian polotics, but america is so far gone that if someone really tried, i mean really really REALLY tried to fix the country, we wont do it, we wouldint wana put the effort in, its easier to let it slowley decay then fix it, and americans ALWAYS pick the easy way out, the lazy bastards.

Get rid of the English parliamentary system, cut alliance to the Commonwealth of Nations, proclaim Canada was a independent nation, Dissolve the bicameral legislative branch to a tricameral system, dissolve the executive branch(i realize i know nothing of the canada def of this)or the pm status, and use the council Polyarchy democracy model aka a council of people deciding on a majority, but with a figure head like head of council or ie Presidential of council. A Representative election on each state/region and the legislative is elected by the people in two houses. the third house of legislative power is only for interstate purposes like a federal intermediary with no real power outside of policy. Get rid of the airforce since they do nothing when a army and navy is all you need. Legalize weed for money and ecotourism, rid the bilingual laws since fuck the french and either make Quebec shut up or fuck out policy, dissolve relations with Quebec, change them to a autonomous region with no federal government help. Lease Nunavut to the south african or dutch to mine the diamonds.. make more money and excuted K.D. Lang.
