Looking for a locket (Warning: Possible melodrama?)

Backstory:
Back in January I had open heart surgery, and it left me on blood thinners for the rest of my life. It was a valve replacement, and I now have a mechanical valve in there that requires I be on blood thinners so that blood doesn't clot on it.
Well, the week before Thanksgiving break I had forgotten to take my medication for a few days, and the following week I had a little bit of a stroke. I guess some blood -did- clot, dislodged itself from the valve, then went up into my brain, but it dissipated before it got too far in. It's called a TIA, in case you wanted that nugget of info. It kind of put some things in perspective for me, and made the possibility of an early, idiocy induced death much more real.
Now, I already got my girlfriend a present for Christmas, but Valentine's day isn't TOO far behind, and I was thinking of maybe getting her a locket. One capable of hiding a small letter to her in, just in case something un-good happened to me.
I've been in and out of Amazon and other places, kind of casually looking for the time being. Should I be though? Is that a good idea, or am I just being too dramatic. Mountains out of molehills, things like that. Are lockets tacky? We've only been going out since September, so part of me thinks it's too early in the relationship to do something like that. Keep it light. I don't know. Maybe I've been watching too many movies.

This sounds like something that should be in the Luv n' Relations Forum.
Anyway, I think something like this might fit the bill.
