Minimalistic VLC skins
0
You know I only recently found VLC and instantly fell in love with it due to its abiltiy to shoutcast TV listings and to play videos without first pixelating them, making them pink, and then turning them upside down (see WLM) but I have to say the interface really bugs me.
You can either have a time scroller and volume and all that, but with it you have to have the main menu and status bar as well. Then you have minimal mode, which has no scroller at all. Is there any way to get rid of those bars? Or does anyone know of any good minimalistic skins?

I have few words, WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?!
After getting MPC with C.C.C.P. i never shat with that shit again.
With quick googling you can find skins, but i don't think it's worth to get them for that shitty program. Inb4 Sindalf's comments i guess.
Good luck.

VLC is absolute shit you should not be using it. For videos you should use mpc + cccp which is all included here. http://www.cccp-project.net/
Proof that VLC is terrible. Stuff pixelates all the time, generally slow, and can't render subtitle tags properly.

...can you even see that in fullscreen mode?
And if you just look at it while doing something different, I guess looks aren't so important (maybe even the stuff you watch in the first place)

Something can be ugly as fuck but what matters is how it runs and works, not what it looks like. Especially with something where you won't see the interface 99% of the time.

VLC is for people who don't want to mess with configuring any settings. MPC is for people who want to customize and make their shit work correctly and look great. And if you want it to look better than VLC but don't want to customize much then just use the CCCP installer.
I do applaud VLC for trying to make a user-friendly media player but they still have a ways to go. Like I made the fullscreen controls disappear and then couldn't get it back unless I deleted its configuration files in the appdata folder. Also if you have any custom fonts in the subtitles it takes up to a full minute to load them whereas MPC is instant. Also the subtitles don't scale with the resolution properly and look jagged and sometimes appear incorrectly whereas with MPC the subtitles look perfect.
