Truthfully if they do make live actions. Then they proably will suck. Hollywood does not do a good job at these kinda things. And even then truthfully the easiest one I could see being done is Code Geass. And they will majorly screw that up.
The only good live action movies that are done are ones made in Japan.

I dont even want to imagine a naruto live action...believe it?
Like heck they would get 15 year olds in to play those parts.
OK lets see then, there really hasnt been a huge deal of Americanised Anime adaptations yet, just LOTS in the pipeline apparently, but after the DBallEvo bomb responce, reception and box office I would of thought interest would of dropped off, especially if the original anime aired some 10 years ago and they are way past the fandom point. Everytime I look there is apparently another adaptation in the works, and with terrible adaptations come the stigma that the original series was just as bad and even makes it harder for outsiders to really give anime a chance.
Of course there has to be changes when you go from one medium to another, like books to film or films to plays, but they need to try and retain what really matters, the story. They totally butchered the Dragonball story for example.
I wish I didnt keep going back to that movie, but really its the only american anime movie as of right now (not including last airbender, and thats no better example). I think there is still hope but until I see the hope, im not keeping it.

Don't fuck with me, it's not funny. Hollywood needs to stay the fuck away from Code Geass and the other animes, they're gonna fuck it up like how they fucked Dragonball and The Last Airbender.

I dunno, I would hope that they'd learned their lesson by now. Code Geass would have to be stripped down or broken up, sure, but I think the plot, with its drama and sci-fi, would be brilliantly suited to the big screen. Just needs a serious director and a good screenwriter, which would not be beyond the realms of possibility considering its accolades and simply the quality on show.

Every anime based movie blew big time.
blood the last vampire, great anime and tv show.... movie was boring and lack the great story.
Dragonball evolution... not going to answer that.
even one based on comics and manga weren't that great.
Sundome
20th century boys
Spiderman 2 and 3(one was cool)
scott pilgrim was ok but could be better.

I heard Steven Spielberg's got planes for a Ghost in The Shell move. If anyone could pull it off it would be him. I also heard that Micheal Bay was interested in Battle Angel Alita, but that could just be a rumor.

It’s a good thing that all that isn’t entirely true.
Regardless of personal opinion on movies, although I do agree with you on some of those, this is what we can ascertain about Hollywoods attempts at those comic movies:
SOURCES: www.metacritic.com, www.rottentomatoes.com
Spider-man: 73% (Users: 8.0/10) = AVERAGE: 76.5%
Tomatometer: 89% @ 7.6/10 (Users: 65%) = AVERAGE: 70.5%
SPIDER-MAN CONSENSUS: 73.5%
Spider-man 2: 83% (Users: 7.7/10) = AVERAGE: 80%
Tomatometer: 93% @ 8.2/10 (Users: 81%) = AVERAGE: 81.5%
SPIDER-MAN 2 CONSENSUS: 80.75%
Spider-man 3: 59% (Users: 6.1/10) = AVERAGE: 60%
Tomatometer: 63% @ 6.2/10 (Users: 54%) = AVERAGE: 58%
SPIDER-MAN 3 CONSENSUS: 59%
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: 69% (Users: 8.5/10) = AVERAGE: 77%
Tomatometer: 80% @ 7.5/10 (Users: 87%) = AVERAGE: 81%
SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD CONSENSUS: 79%
They are the only ones I can be bothered to go through now, but also remember you have X-Men, X-Men II, X-Men III, Dark man, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Kick-Ass, A History of Violence, Superman etc.
Then again you have films like Batman & Robin, Electra, Dare devil, Ghost Rider, Son of the Mask, Cat woman, Howard the Duck, The Spirit etc.
Again, there are always going to be clashes in tastes and preferences when it comes to these movies, there are probably heaps of people who would like every one of those movies I mentioned, and just as many that didn’t like any of them. However, when looking though those scores it’s impossible to think that they are guaranteed to mess up a story premise, that is, if they get someone on board who understands the source material. I truly have hope for every comic book/manga/anime adaptation that’s brought to the big screen, it will have an audience somewhere, but whether that is me is another question.
