So, I got an iPod Touch for V-day gift.. (which means i m a beginner in Apple stuff)
but when i sync it with my iTunes...
the files in the device folder looks greyish...? and can't play too. for all files, btw. not only music, but movies too.
But the files in the library looks okay though. it works normally.
and the files can play at the iPod Touch.
But can't when u want to play it at iTunes (if from the devices folder)..
But OK when u play it at library folder.
So, the only problem is at the iTunes device folder.
I've tried re-plugging, but the problem still persists.
I haven't tried restoring the iPod Touch though... because it'll take a long time to finish....
Okay, so myb this is confusing, hopefully u undrstnd this because my english is not that good.
So, how do i get it back to normal?
Please please please help!
Edit: I think my iTunes & iPod Touch are the latest versions

First, by device folder do you mean going inside the iPod while it is connected? If so, don't do that.
As for iTunes, go to File > Add File or File > Add Folder to library; then all you have to do is play it from iTunes or sync your iPod.
There should be no need to go to a devices folder, just use the iTunes application.
As for iTunes, go to File > Add File or File > Add Folder to library; then all you have to do is play it from iTunes or sync your iPod.

Yes, I meant going inside the iPod while its connected.
I've synced my iPod and when i want to play any file in the iPod folder (from the iTunes), it can't.
Well, it still works for the files in the Library, so there is no need to got to devices folder but of course, if possible, I'd like to fix the problem. :)

If you are saying you are trying to play the music/video files off your iPod from your PC, it isn't possible. Apple encodes the files on the iPod so only the iPod can read it, and not a PC/Mac.
There are programs that can extract the files and convert them off an iPod to a computer, but you aren't supposed to do that. Apple tries to make it so you can't do that.
Only the iPod can read the files on its own hard drive. See if you can do what you want a different way, cause computers cannot read and play files of an iPod.

I never knew about this. I'd be pretty pissed if my MP3 player was an iPod because I play off of it at work sometimes. Not like I'll ever use an Apple product anyways because they are overpriced and proprietary.

What u mean is to play the files from My Computer > iPod, right?
I know that's not possible.
But what I mean is from iTunes > Devices > iPod > Music > can't play!

Exactly, there is no need to do that.
Your library in the iTunes program is basically a bunch of pointers to files in your actual computer, typically the My Music folder in Windows. These files are copied into your iTunes library, which plays them from their location in My Music. These same files are copied to your iPod which has its own internal storage that SHOULD NOT be accessed.
As for your file path, I can't find that in any of my folders named iTunes (and I have several). The odds are that you are going into hidden folders which are hidden for a reason.

Which is exactly why you should figure out where files are placed on your iPod, and get rid of that horrible program called itunes.
