no downloading...the sequel

Lately my computer won't download anything, it just gets to the stage were your computer asks you if you would like to run the file. After it runs, I sign in as admin because it says a regular account may not have permission. Then a green loading bar comes up and says that it's extracting files, but after that nothing. It just closes and I'm left with an undownloaded browser. Please help, you guys are the smartest people i know.

On a seperate and completely different note fuck grammer, fuck punctuation, and fuck spelling.

Whenever you ask for tech-support, please provide as much (relevant) information as you can, as depending on the circumstances very different things may cause you problems. Thing that are (probably) relevant in this case:

-What your OS is. (Windows Xp, Vista, 7, etc.)
-Whether said OS is properly updated. (E.g. whether your XP has had SP3 applied)
-Whether you're connecting to the Internet directly or through a router.
-What you Anti-virus & Firewall programs are if any.
-What browser you use to access the World Wide Web.

i use the free avira and stopzilla antiviral, my os is windows 7 and my browser is internet explorer

It's not like I'll hesitate to lock your thread next time either.

Have you tried downloading something with another browser, e.g. Chrome or Firefox? Give it a try as it'd make it clear whether it's something with your browser or your OS.

lawl thats what im tryin to do my computer wont allow me to download firefox 3 it gets to a point where the green loading bar comes up and then it says the account that you are using may not have permission but all my accounts are admin and no matter which one i use after i enter the user the window closes and thats where my download stops

Thanks...but i don't have a windows dvd, is there any way to do it without one?

edit: i tried it but when i typed in what you said all that happened was a window opened and then closed immediately

If theres anyway just to completely wipe my computer except for the programs that come with windows im open to that.

update i have downloaded google chrome but it still wont download firefox 3 off oldapps.com please help me

firefox 3 is probley off line since it old.. try aurora or ff6.

i would but im tryin to be a chacha guide and they say i have to use it
