Playing PS2 games on a PS2 from a PC, can it be done?

I have 2 PS2s (a Phat and Slim), both of them have problems with their laser reader and one with the disk spinner.
I bought a Network adapter for the phat and paired it with a 360gb harddrive (not sure if it works, don't have the wires to connect it directly to pc).
Don't have modchips and I wanna find a way without using one if possible.
With the above listed Hard drive and network adapter for ps2 I have...
-USB male to USB male
-Network cables
So I was wondering, without a modchip or from disk exploits, is it possible to mod a ps2 from the network or USB to either install games on the hard drive or play from my pc harddrive itself. (I miss Xenosaga)
Disclaimer, I have tried googling numerous times "running ps2 games from pc to ps2" in many reworded ways. But I keep getting emulator results, which was a consideration till I encountered framerate/lag problems after reaching PlayStation emulators.
After looking into it, it seems my cpu isn't strong enough (or something) to run emulators, so my only option is to get my ps2 to run the games.
(Additional info, pc core: intel core 2 quad 2.33 GHz and 2.34 GHz. Requirement seems to be Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.2ghz, which I cant seem to figure out if it will cost me $10 or $200 from the varying prices on ebay/amazon, so if possible I would rather search the PS2 path first.) (I'll learn the differences between CPU's when my head feels less fuzzy, so later.)
So again, is it possible to mod either PS2? Or should I give up and save for parts to build a better pc? I'd hate to waste the PS2's if they can be useful for something, if I could I would love to be able to use the PS2 hardware to assist in running the emulator, but I am no where near that point in software/hardware altering capabilities.

Maybe someone else will care to explain, but in short what you're trying to do will not work. There are some other options though.
Have you tried cleaning the lens for the laser? In most cases dust build-up is the cause of discs not being read properly, you can remove the dust fairly easily, either manually or using a lens cleaning disc. You can also get a new spindle and replace the broken one. PS2's are cheap as borsch, so you don't really have much to lose.
Cleaning Lens
Replacing Spindle
Other than that, a PS2 doesn't go for too much today, my advice is to just get one off the internet for $20 - $50 and keep the other two for spare parts, if cleaning off the lens and replacing the spindle doesn't work.
As for not having the correct cables for that hard-drive, you can find them for next to nothing at any computer store. Check whether or not your drive is IDE/SATA, I'm going to assume the latter so you'll probably be looking for a SATA data cable and a 4-pin Molex to SATA power cable.

I'd just get a new PS2 if I were you, I am able to run my home brewed games fine on my PS2 slim without a modchip
Running PS2 emulator might be possible if your graphic card is okay. (at least a 310M?)
I am running on a 14" laptop with i5-480m 2.66Ghz processor and AMD Radeon 6470M (graphic chip) which is barely fine on normal quality.
They said that Nvidia offers better support for emulating PS2.
I haven't tried to run Xenosaga, but I bet the experience would be relatively terrible if I did
I would give it a shot if my screen is at least 18" big on a desktop though.
I second getting a new PS2
