Problem installing drivers for my new PC

I'm trying to install Windows on the PC I custom built, but when I get prompted to load the drivers, they fail to get detected. Then I searched for them manually, and tried whatever option was available.
BTW, I got my drivers from my mobo's website (ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 is the name of the mobo
Here is a link to where I downloaded the driver from) and the Support CD that came with the mobo.
Several of them said they couldn't be installed, possibly because I'm attempting the wrong version, but I don't know which driver to choose. The one that doesn't say I couldn't download it, just gives me the prompt to load the correct driver again.
My Specs:
If possible, Skype calls are ok so you can walk me through and show me what I'm doing wrong. My skype is: animelovingnegro.

Probably you are downloading the drivers for the wrong OS.What OS are you using?
Ah sorry I didn't mention the OS. Windows 7, my friend told me that it'll prompt me if I want 64 bit or regular, but I didn't get it

I'm just going to assume that you're using windows 7 so:
LAN Driver - Windows 7/8 - This is the only driver that requires you choose the right version, you don't need to install this if you can access the internet on your new computer.
SATA 3 Driver
USB 3.0 Driver
Audio Driver
Video Card Driver - Assuming you installed 64-bit version of Vista/7/8 (All new processors support x64/64-bit yours included, there isn't a reason to use a 32-bit OS with your machine.)
Video Card Driver 2 If you have a 32-bit version of vista/7/8
Nice rig by the way.

I tried Navroka's advice he sent me via PMs...nothing is happening. I even unhid the not compatible with windows drivers. No cigar.

You could use this to check what version of Windows 7 you have installed.

We've been conversing through PMs, he wasn't quite clear here.
The issue:
He doesn't have Windows 7 installed yet, he's in the process of installing it. At the HDD selection screen it's asking him for his SATA drivers, they're included with the support disc he had. The installation by default was trying to grab x86 drivers, so I had him point it to the x64 drivers to no avail, Windows Setup reports that no devices were found after using either drivers to detect his HDD.
Told him to go into his BIOS and see if his HDD was detected there and if it wasn't to try a different SATA port and check the connections going to his HDD. Waiting on him to get back to me.
Edit:
The HDD is detected in diskpart and he was able to "clean" it, confirms that disk is working properly but still no dice on having it show up in Setup. Asked user to insert a second HDD even if it has information on it just to see if Setup is able to detect any kind of HDD.
He legitimately needs help and I'm running out of options for him to try, does anyone else have any ideas?

There's going to be options involving sata/ide settings within the BIOS that may be worth fiddling with as well to help detect the disc.

I know for XP it didn't include generic SATA drivers so you had to have a floppy of the driver in order to detect it. However with Win 7 it should have them included. However sometimes motherboards also include 3rd party SATA chipsets separate from the typical ones. Try plugging the drive into a different SATA port to see if you have better luck.
Your motherboard has 2 ASMedia SATA ports which may not be detectabe. However it also has 6 regular SATA2 ports and 2 SATA3 ports. Try one of the SATA3 ports first and if that doesn't work try it with a SATA2. It may also be that your hard drive may need a jumper to set it to the correct SATA speed. The motherboard and hard drive may also need firmware updates.

Okay... resisting the urge... I'm just going to explain it to you as simply as I can:
He cannot reformat his HDD because his HDD is not formatted, Windows can't be reinstalled because it is not installed on his drive and has never been installed on his drive. Why hasn't Windows ever been installed on his drive? Why isn't it formatted? Because he can't select a drive on which to install Windows during the Windows installation process.

Well then have you tried downloading the ASMedia SATA3 Floppy Image ver:1.3.1 files here and loading them up onto a flash drive to load drivers during the win 7 install?

That's the directory on the support disc, confirms it's the same version as the ones on the website but just for the hell of it, thinking that maybe they were corrupt, I had him download the drivers I had

SATA 3 Driverlinked in my first post and use them instead, unfortunately that didn't solve the problem.
Gotta think out of the box with this one, I spent a good three hours helping him through PMs so the obvious solutions won't work.

going for the unorthodox then, you can try to load up 7 onto the disc from an alternate machine, then swap the disc back into the build and see if it recognizes and boots.

So few things. is he using ssd or hdd and is he using pata or sata. cuz sata drivers don't work for pata drives. and odd that it should ask for drivers. ive done installs each time and i havent needed to do any driver installs until after i finish installing windows.
most systems now are pretty much plug and play. can i ask op for a full system spec?
edit:actually just realized its an asus mobo. so its definitely sata.... if its recent

Windows Setup will ask you for drivers at the HDD selection screen if it can't detect your drives using the ones included with the installation. His drive is detected properly in BIOS and diskpart, he can even "clean" his drive using diskpart, this indicates that it's highly unlikely there's anything wrong with his hardware.

Has he tried downloading a trial version from microsoft to see if that works?
Here are official download links: http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-from-digital-river/
Just make sure to choose the correct edition for the product key you have (ultimate, professional, home premium and x86/x64 variants)
I just had to do that for my mother who lost her disc but had the cd key and her hard drive failed. You can convert it to USB stick using their tool somewhere if you google around.

Problem solved folks....I had a bad copy of Windows 7. When I got a good one I didn't even come across the driver message, it instantly recognized my HDD
