Okay, here's my deal here. I have two memory sticks: Sony Mark2 4GB, and Sandisk 8GB
Sony Mark2 4GB is working perfectly fine! Music works, and games works. Tip top condition.
I wish it's the same for Sandisk 8GB. It does not read the music file at all. Like I would get a song from my 4GB, works perfectly fine. Get that same song into my 8GB, it plays then its get corrupted.
I tried a lotta solutions to this. Re-downloading,finding a different source. I keep getting the same results 8GB corrupted.
Is there any solutions to this? Please help out guy who needs his 4.17 GB worth of music in his life here.

I buy all of my stuff from one brand that being Sony.Maybe it could be something simple as the Sandisk 8GB could be damaged from the outside.I had that problem before too with mine what worked for me was i changed the format of the music from MP3 to WMA.Try that.

You can always try ccleaner to format then free space wipe.. probably won't help.. only a chance. Is it the psp or the computer that can't read it.. find out if the another one works for you.. sometimes different brands for memory cards don't like certain devices.. one of my cards is for one of my camera.. because it doesn't work with the other brands of camera currently in my work bag.

I Sandisk 4GB and it usually wont read any music, and if it does start playing it, it will give an error. Everything I tried didn't work, so I gave up. I assume it's something to do with Sandisk.

I fuckign give up. I tried changing the mp3format into wma. The difference? wma plays a longer part of the song but never finished. In other words, the same result: corrupted data piece of shitty ass of memory stick. Well, I guess it'll be used to games now. Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah, stick to the original brand if you have to buy a new one. Don't compensate Quality for lower price.

if i remember correctly from my 3 years experience with memorysticks and psp's. 8gig dont really work properly for psp, theres always bugs on it and its not as successful when it comes to processing data on psp unlike 4gigs and 2 gigs. Suggest getting a branded one. not some cheap fake one, but its worth a try. 4 gig would still be my option.

Guys, I may have found the solution to my problem here but I need to confirm it.
To all PSP users who own a Lexar (Specifically a 8GB one), I'd like to ask: Does Lexar read music file perfectly fine?

I've heard of certain situations where a certain MS model simply does not work well on the PSP. Those tend to be the cheaper brands.
And, there is always a defective oddity in every aspect of electronics. So - essentially - sounds like it's the MS, not necessarily the brand though( heh, I have a 8gb Sandisk).
Lexar is not bad, but I don't know for on the PSP. Check Amazon for possible reviews, generally there is at least a few handheld owners out of a group. Or, what I did, but one that PSP owners say works on amazon. Safest route sometimes :/
