Have any of you ever eaten one? because i want one. i saw it in a cooking magazine at some food store and need to acquire it. but i don't know how and i don't know where any imported food places are where i live.

They have them in Asian Grocery stores sometimes.

It's everywhere here when it's season. So even though I like the taste, I dont really appreciate it... but yep, lychee-ish sweetness, but usually lighter.

They. Attract. Ants. Big time.
Once upon a time when I was with my parents in Malaysia, we tried all sorts of fruits, also rambutan. If we left those things unguarded, they were soon covered with TONS of ants. They didn't care about other fruits that much (unless they were peeled of course). It was weird.
I don't know if it was just that one time or did we come across some crazy-for-rambutant-only ants, but I still advice caution. =D

i have a rabumtan tree near my house it does attract a lot of black ants but their ok & i don't really like eating them -_-
