What's the rawest sing you have ever heard? One where it sounds like the artist was pouring their emotions and entire being into it. For me, the top two would have to be
Hurt - Johnny Cash
Battle of Hampton Roads - Titus Andronicus

Bob Dylan wrote...
It was ten pages long. It wasn't called anything, just a rhythm thing on paper all about my steady hatred directed at some point that was honest. In the end it wasn't hatred, it was telling someone something they didn't know, telling them they were lucky. Revenge, that's a better word. I had never thought of it as a song, until one day I was at the piano, and on the paper it was singing, 'How does it feel?' in a slow motion pace, in the utmost of slow motion.Aint nothing more raw than Bob Dylan's poetry in sound; the one that changed the world.

Videotape is probably one of the most heartfelt songs ive ever heard. I might just be a sucker for piano pieces but if i had to choose a funeral song, this would be it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A classic, written in memory of his child who died falling out from a window. I don't think there's any question that this is 100% emotion.

Dreams, Inspirations and Aspirations GET.

Something different, prejudices of black people and music aside it's got one the most real life lyrics ive ever heard. There's no question this is all heart in song.

There are several versions. The première performance in Brussels (I think) in the mid nineties is probably the most emotive performance of an already exceptionally raw song, but the audio quality is terrible. Look it and the full band version up though; the keyboard really adds something.
