I have this hdd that played just fine last night, I even watched several movies. But in the morning I suddenly unable to connect it, there's the warning "Disk is corrupted. Format to use." Is there anyway to recover the data?

You can try the ChkDsk utility in Windows but before using this method i suggest you to search on google for programs that can try to simply recover the data without repairing the disk.
Anyway, BE CAREFUL, this utility attempt to repair the disk's file system and data loss can occur.
To do this follow this steps:
1- Run cmd by clicking on start and typing "cmd" in the search bar.
2- In the cmd windows write "chkdsk /f diskname" (Where "diskname" stand for the disk letter)
3- Hit enter.

sounds like your hdd i going out i work in computer repair and i suggest using "hdd regenerator" and then if that doesn't work use a program called: "get my data back"
back up your data and buy a new hard drive buddy .... SAVE THE ANIME!!!!!!!

Also, while doing the chdsk function, you may want to alot a time for your computer to work on it. Depending on the disk size, it may take up to hours of checking for data.
