Self-Controlled Hallucinations?
0
Past few days i've been thinking about Hallucinations and Lucid Dreams.
Now, i'm not a sciency-science person and if any of you scientific-sciency-science Fakku users know about something like this, i'd like to be sciency too!
SO!~ In though of Hallucninations, is there anyway to control a brain-made image, and project it into your own mind to make it seem physical? as far as I know, hallucninations are projections of your sub-conscience to your brain, and it can relate to similar occurances while under hypnosis.
I've though of "Invisble Friends" but i've only seen that being related to children who feel like thats the only way to relay feelings.

You answered your own question...
Hallucinations are projections of your subconscious, and your subconscious are thoughts you cannot control or are not aware of.

Cut a ping pong ball in half, cover your eyes with them, listen to pure radio static through headphones, wait 10 minutes.

It's like daydreaming/dreaming but MUCH more vivd (because your "canvas" isn't as dark as the back of your noggin'?). Two other people I know tried it too and it worked for one but not the other. I would do it again if I got bored.

(acid = LSD)
Nah, one hit all you'll see is some melting walls and maybe some funny animal talking or riding a unicycle or something like that.
Now two hits, well...uh.....well it's something like this

That's more fucked up than when Dumbo got drunk.

Significantly so. I've tried the ping pong ball thing before, it was kinda weird. I'm not entirely sure how to describe it, actually. The second time nothing happened though.

(Attempting not to delve into the metaphysical)
Over the next month, before going to sleep, I want you to practice not moving.
Not like, don't get up, scratch your ass, or wank it--not moving, I want you to focus specifically on not moving a single muscle.
After a good 15 minutes, or so, your brain is going to perform a bit of a check, to see if your body is asleep. This level of inactivity is unnatural during a waking state, so it's one of the tools your brain uses to begin your natural sleep cycle.
If your are successful, your brain will decide that the body is asleep, and cut off it's connection. This is called "sleep paralysis", and is another step toward reaching your subconscious.
(To "wake up" from sleep paralysis, focus on wiggling your toes. I don't know why that works, but it does.)
Continuing on, while in sleep paralysis, begin to fantasize about the dream you intend to have. Set the ground rules, your own abilities, and the gear you take with you (this will be important later). As you drift towards a real sleep state, these last thoughts and intentions will begin to bleed into your natural dream. From there it's practice.
For safety reasons;
-Carry a talisman. One object, which on activation will reset your dream. I sleep with a necklace on, that pulls me back when I touch it.
-To explore your subconscious, go down. From wherever you start, ask where the basement is. You can use this to access bits that the conscious mind doesn't want to deal with, or doesn't remember. DO NOT go too far down. If you "get a bad feeling," it's probably important.
-Work out a kit, in case something goes wrong. Think of armour, and weapons that you can "stash," and pick up at any time. Mine is my regular fighting kit (jeans, leather, and combat boots), and a long katana. Take whatever it is, and re-make it out of light. The mind associates light with everything "good," and black/darkness with "bad." This runs the gamut, from objects, pathways, and even to the people you meet.
"It's dangerous to go alone..."
Oh, and if you find yourself doing astral projection, return to your body immediately. That calls for a whole new set of rules and protections.

Sometimes when you are asleep, there might be an opportunity to realize that you aren't actually sleeping. I find that usually happens when I sleep with my clothes and lights on because its slightly uncomfortable, but still it works about 30% of the time.

You can't control Hallucinations (2nd post pretty much says it).
Lucid Dreaming, however, can be. That's why they it's called Lucid Dreaming.

I always believe that when you hallucinate, it creates the image of something that you truly desire or want. For me most of my hallucinations and dreams always consist of me getting drag into a fantasy world. (You could say its quite similar to how Saito was dragged to louise's world in Zero no Tsukaima).
I've had this ongoing dream for the past 2 years now, I never have any other dreams/hallucinations except for this one. However I like it though because whenever I close my eyes in the real world, they then open in my dream world - It's like leading 2 different lives.
My mom sent me to a shrink after telling her this and the shrink told me that maybe my urge to get out of this world has allowed me to create a world inside my dream.

The question isn't about desire/want, it's about controlling the hallucination/dream. The fact that a hallucination/dream reveals what you want doesn't mean you have control over it.
