songs/albums to introduce bands or genres to someone

I couldn't find this in the forums by looking several pages back or using the forum's search engine but if it does already exist please tell me.
The general idea is in the topic name. Tell us about a genre or band that you think is relativly obscure or underrated and then tell us a good song or preferably an album to introduce someone who has never heard of them before or only knows about them a little bit i.e. only heard of their music a little bit. Give us a little description of the band then you could post a link to their website or to one of their songs or youtube or whatever you think works.
For instance a good way to introduce someone to the celtic punk band Flogging Molly, who use not only use lead guitar, bass and drums but also instruments used in traditional irish music like a violin, banjo, accordion etc., would be their album drunken lullabies.
Give me some feed back, any ideas on how to make this topic a better resource for introducing your friends, family and fellow fakkuza to different styles of music will be considered. For staters, I'm looking for more concise names for this topic, any suggestions?

I haven't listened to Flogging Molly in a few years. I might want to listen to them again.
As for introducing a band, I'd have to say Agalloch. They're pretty unknown, but fantastic if you can stand listening to nine-to-fifteen minute songs. People describe their music as "avant-garde folk metal." It seems right, but it's something that I think you should listen to if you really want to know what their music is like. Another thing I should say is that their albums flows together, so it'd be best to listen to a whole album of theirs.
Just a song, but a lot of their music is like this though.

Good question... If I had to introduce somebody to electronic dance music, I'd show them...
kirja100 - We Are Alone
Madeon - Shuriken
Soulero & Hellberg - Because We Are
D-Block & S-Te-Fan - Technology
And the song that introduced me to electronic dance... G-Town Madness & The Viper - Live A Lie

Another artist I recommend listening to is Cloudkicker. He does this on the side when he feels like it, but you can get his albums from Band Camp for free. However, you should at least pay like 5-10 dollars for an album from him because they're good and worth it.
Anyways, here's the full album "Fade."

If i were to introduce someone to chillout music, i would link them Toro Y Moi.That was alright, but for chillout I'd recommend Ryan Farish. His music is really something else, beautiful and inspiring while being catchy and easy to listen to.

Charles Mingus
Genre: Jazz
Hazzy
Genre: Hip Hop; Instumental
DJ Okawari - Sweet Light
Genre: Trip Hop; Jazz Hop; Cool Jazz
Album: Mirror; Kaleidoscope
And his album covers are fucking beautiful.
Later two are fairly similar to Nujabes.
If anyone is interested, I can provide DDl to the albums/songs (320 kbps).
