[Locked] Still Touchpad problem -_-

I have a HP Pavilion g6 of some model in which I can't quite remember, but my touchpad always stop functioning/locks? exactly half a second from the time I hold down a key to the time I let go. Is there anyway I can get this to stop? It makes it impossible for me to play shooter games on it and I hate using a mouse. I tried updating the driver but that did squat. Help?

it might be a built in function to prevent your palm from using the touch pad. See if you can find anything in the control panel that will allow you to look.
