OH MY GOD NO ONE POSTED A SUPER 8 THREAD YET????

Dude i heard the movie was so epic according to my homies.
and i only see the ending of it, im gonna watch the full movie on Friday
and judge cause some say it sucked.

This movie looks like as much of a disappointment as Cloverfield was.

I've heard mixed reviews about it. I'm sorta interested as I've heard the child actors were very good in their roles.

For a movie that's really predictable, it did really well. I don't suggest seeing this for full price though.

This movie was definitely better than Cloverfield. Just saw it today wing King, as well as Green Lantern. This movie was pretty damn awesome, plus it sounded great. I'd recommend this movie for sure.

Well of coarse it's going to seem good when you watch it next to Green Lanturn. Your perception of it was changed by the Green Lanturn movie.

Yeah it was a decent film. It was definitely much better than Cloverfield. The problem I had with the movie though was that it was trying to apply the Goonies element but lacked the adventure aspect until the very last segment of the movie. It felt like they were trying to divide up the movie to various genres to mix in all the classics that premiered in the 80s. The movie felt like overall it was just sending us the message "80s MOVIES BY SPIELBERG KICKED ASS, ESP. ET. IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW ET WAS AN AWESOME MOVIE, WE'LL BE DROPPING SMALL HINTS TO CONSTANTLY REMIND YOU HOW AWESOME OF A MOVIE IT WAS"! It was def. a good movie by its own standards but nothing I'll be recalling a decade from now.

and who doesn't love nostalgia ^_^.

I know virtually nothing about this movie (plot-wise, anyway) and I don't know what kind of direction they're taking it. The trailers give the impression that there's some action/horror elements, but I'm not sure if that's right, seeing as a group of kids look to be the main characters in the film. All in all, the trailers make the movie look good, but I know from experience that it's not a good idea to trust the quality of a flick by it's trailer alone (Skyline, Splice, X-Men Origins: Wolverine).

Also, what's with the hate on Cloverfield? I loved that movie. Then again, I was probably one of the few that actually knew what I was in for when I was buying my ticket. If you wanna talk about a bad giant-monster movie, talk about the American Godzilla.

the movie is like the Bad ass version of E.T

I was only attracted to the zombie movie which kept using the SAME zombie again and again! haha.

Its so unoriginal it hurts. For a writer like JJ Abrams to be so lazy and just put all of Steven Spielberg's work in one movie is just...astounding. Only entertaining part is the film the kids made at the end credits.
