Because the previous topic is gone~
Well this is one of my favorite sci-fi horror series to watch. Just wondering which one the FAKKU users prefer, and thoughts on the series itself?
Alien
Aliens
Alien 3
Alien resurection
Has anyone seen the "assembly cut" of Alien 3? I've heard it's THE version of Alien 3 to see.

All of the alien films are great I find although, I have yet to see the fourth one. From what I've seen of the films that have envolved the aliens, only alien vs predator I thought was a bit poor imo.

Spoiler:
Alien resurection is a bit of a mix between the first 2. I thought Sigourney Weaver was awesome in this one, I don't give a shit what the critics say.

Curious and Wondering
I prefer the second film, "Aliens". It was obvious they put a lot in this film, and has lots of action without sacrificing too much of the sci-fi feel to it. In my opinion, this is one of the few sequels that outshone the original.

Here's a little something about Alien Resurrection. Joss Whedon, the screenwriter for the film, said this about the the movie, "It wasn't a question of doing everything differently, although they changed the ending; it was mostly a matter of doing everything wrong. They said the lines...mostly...but they said them all wrong. And they cast it wrong. And they designed it wrong. And they scored it wrong. They did everything wrong that they could possibly do. There's actually a fascinating lesson in filmmaking, because everything that they did reflects back to the script or looks like something from the script, and people assume that, if I hated it, then they’d changed the script...but it wasn’t so much that they’d changed the script; it’s that they just executed it in such a ghastly fashion as to render it almost unwatchable."
Edit: I should just add a link to this article. It points out a lot of the changes that the director made from Whedon's script. Btw, Whedon's version of the Human/Alien hybrid was waaaaaaaaay more badass than what actually wound up in the movie.

Get Jinxed
I love all the movies and I would have to tie it between 1 and 2. The Alien series is definitely one of my favorite movie series.

People seem to unanimously dislike the 3rd, but again, I must remind you all to watch the "assembly cut" before making any judgments.
