The Raid 2: Best action flick you'll see all year

After the success of the first movie, The Raid comes back full force with Berandal. For those who're new to this, the Raid is the first indonesian film that's acquired international recognition*, and rightly so, I can hardly think of a better action movie in recent years. Yes, it's 100% action so don't go in there expecting some kind of plot. The second movie seems to be a little more elaborate though. We'll see.

Already on the Hype train for a long time, since "The Raid 2: Berandal" was supposed to be the 2nd film Evans made after "Merantau", but was too expensive to produce at that time.

The first Raid was one of the best movies I've ever watched. Saw it with a friend on opening day. Theater was empty except for us two.

I've read that yeah. His "accident" turned out to be an excellent action movie.

Is it released yet? I watched the first one, and still can't believe it's Indo made. I feel like watching it again now.

Probably going to watch it. The first one is cool with the mad dog.

It looks like they got a bigger budget for this one and it looks great lots of ass kicking in the trailer.

Film finally released in theaters.
Watched it. It was fucking immense. Surpasses the first in every way. Hammer Girl and Bat man were totally awesome. I'm out of superlatives.

Managed to see this in an early viewing thanks to being subscribed to my local cinema.

Not much to say except that it was FUCKING AWESOME and would go and see it again now that it's released to the public. One of my friends still has yet to watch it.

Hammer girl is just the best.
Gareth Evans is a genius, he turned a bare bones action film into a sprawling gangster epic. Easily one of the best action films of the decade.
