The Thing

Ok so i just watched this movie and i just want to say one thing..WHAT THE FUCK?
The movie had a good start to it and i think a good plot but seriously nothing in the god damn movie added up.
I am so disappointed in it. UGH.
Anyways ill give you a run through of what happen.
Ok so for some reason these guys where out in the middle of the North pole and one of the guys was picking up weird sounds from under the ice (Idk how the hell they would do that and why the hell was he listen to it on some radio, i could not understand what they was saying..some foreign lang.)
Anyways they fall through the ice and see what looks like some big ass space ship.
So later on they block off the hole and magically they find a tunnel that leads to the space ship and revels a huge open area.
So they find this "Thing" trapped under some ice, the cut it out and take the big ass hunk of ice back to their base, they get a tissue sample and then start partying..(WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU LEAVE A HUGE ASS PIECE OF ICE WITH AN UNKNOWN THING INSIDE A WARM AREA AND LEAVE IT TO GO PARTY?!)
Anyways the "Thing" breaks out and kills people..
So it grabs one of the human and starts eating it, they kill it and bring it back to their base, cut it open to find that it uses the humans to live and copys their DNA and walks among them the only problem is that it cannot copy metal, like fillings in there teeth or titanium plates from a broken bone or earrings so thats how they number out the people that are the "THING"
But what i dont understand is how the hell did it get a hold of all these people without one person seeing it and going "Oh i just wanna point out that i was fucking my wife and that thing came out and took her off so i have not seen her since..OH WAIT! There she is, she came out of nowhere im sure that thing let her go she cant be that monster"
But yea it all comes down to that everyone becomes a suspect and no one trusts no one.
But they say the "THING" acts like a virus, if it acts like a virus then why the fuck did everyone not become it?
It seems when they kill it oh look another on pops up..I THOUGHT THEY FUCKING KILLED IT WHEN THEY FIRST SAW IT!?
Jesus.
So yea it shows up like 6 times in the movie and each time it looks different.
lol its starting to sound like "Super 8" where the monster just wants to go home and the government is like "The hell you are"
But yea the movie was good but the ending and the plot fucking sucked.
So if you wanna know how the movie ended click the spoiler, if not then just comment on what you thought of it if you seen it.

I'm pretty sure they wanted to make it better then the old "Thing". I vote that the old one was better then the new one cause somethings didn't make sense.
At the same thing the ps2 Thing I liked that a whole lot more.

the only thing i like about the movie is the splitface monster...though it's just an ok movie but it has many flaws

Spoiler:
You do realize that this movie was a prequel, right? As in, the ending of this movie was meant to tie in to the begining of the original 1982 film. The only part that didn't really get explained was what happened to that chick at the end of the movie. We last see her sitting in that ice truck, so her fate was left rather open. Also, the Thing isn't a virus in a typical sense. It can't spread to others via airborne infection. No, it has to consume it's prey before it can replicate it. Meaning, it has to be alone with someone for a brief amount of time to kill them, replicate them, and then clean up the mess. As for how the Thing was able to spread after being killed early in the movie, they overlooked the dog, which had been infected early on and most likely, in turn, had discreetly infected a number of the survivors as the movie went on. That's why when the last two survivors at the base saw the dog, they chased after it with the intent to kill it because they (or rather, one of them) knew that it was actually the Thing. I should also mention that the Thing isn't just some violent E.T., it's plausible that the alien at the begining of the movie was also infected to begin with and the Thing's only real intent is to spread itself as much as possible. I guess that's just another way that the Thing could be thought of as a virus.
