Time to break out the sketchbook

To prepare myself for the fall semester, I decided to start drawing again and shack off some rust. I haven't drawn in about 12 months, but I figured that it was time to wipe off the dust on my old sketchbook and try drawing anime and manga characters again. I used only no. 2 pencils because I couldn't find my old pencils. This was a rough 15-20 minute sketch from various images I found on the internet to make a drawing fitting for fathers day.



I can only do busts right now and as my technique gets back into shape; I'll be practicing quite a bit. Any feedback or comments is appreciated.

Edit: Actually I really want feedback, how am I going to get any better right?

some reason the eye's don't match up with the head and okazaki's head seems to big compared to his father and his daughter had bit more hair... kinda messy with the smuggin but I'm sure you could have done a lot more better don't get me wrong I liked and I think it looks great but next time try and stay away from smuggin or use it less or erase the unnecessary smug that's not needed and more defined lines would bring out your work.

I haven't really seen your other but I do think you are doing well so keep up the good work XD

Hmm.. It's pretty good. I think the eyes need a little work though. And some more detail. It's good but a little more detail wouldn't hurt. And just like Clot said, you shouldn't smug it too much.. Oh, and Tomoya's head is a bit bigger than his dad's. Well, I think it's a good drawing. :3 Keep up the good work and hope that you post more. :3
