So long as they give Steve Blum the voice of Tom again. Then I will just be the happiest man in existence

As much as I love the old Toonami, I hope they don't just air the same old shows all the time. Hopefully they find some good new ones.

Something like Soul Eater (yes I know, not exactly new). I've already seen it but I'd watch it again if it came out on Toonami.

This is way cool.

FUCK YEAH Deadman Wonderland is gonna be on the lineup

and casshern sins, rounds out the "new" stuff

I think they'll be incorporating more later.

Well, here's your lineup...

12:00 a.m. - Bleach
12:30 a.m. - Deadman Wonderland
1:00 a.m. - Casshern Sins
1:30 a.m. - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 a.m. - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
3:00 a.m. - 6:00a.m. Everything repeats.

DeMarco confirmed that Steven Blum will reprise his role of Tom, which "will be an updated hi-res version of Tom 3.0" aboard a slightly different but almost identical version of the spaceship Absolution.

However, the character Sara will not appear for now ("costs too much to make"), and Peter Cullen will not be the voice of the block's promos due to his busy work schedule. The anime titles will keep their theme songs, and Toonami "will make our own 'pre' intros."

I fucking knew it. Just Adult Swim, with the Toonami name slapped on. Way to troll the fans, and completely miss the point of why people wanted it back.

I'm sorry, but did you expect something else?

Just be glad that we have the spot back.

I am not glad. I was expecting actual Toonami. Like the stuff that aired back on April Fool's Day. And then they just turn around and flip the fans off like this. It's a jerk move.

Well what are they supposed to do? Kids these days don't want to watch what used to be on. You put on a show from 12 years ago and they just look at it and say "WHADAFUQ IS THIS WHERE MAH (insert current show) AT!?"

Do I look like I give damn about the kids? They'd probably be asleep before this anyway. When they said Toonami was coming back, I expected actual Toonami. Instead, two new shows I have no interest in, and slapping "Toonami" on it like it means something.

The kids are a good portion of their viewers. If you have such a problem with it then don't watch it and stop bitching on the internet.

I'm not gonna stop watching. I gotta get my Bleach episodes from somewhere. And it actually sucks that these kids will be warped into thinking this is Toonami. I feel bad for them.

Toonami was a timeslot that showed dubbed anime and introduced its own host and world whatever to display these shows while also sometimes advertising games etc. The format has not change, all it is now is that it's updating to current generation of anime shows. I personally still see this as not doing amazingly well because Toonami back then was the only source for us kids to get our anime but with the internet these days there's no point in watching anime on TV weekly when you can watch all the eps. at once in original japanese with subs.

Perhaps you should give it some time. I mean, how many months did they try to get Toonami back? Two? You can't get a whole lot done in those two months.

Give it some time, they'll change it up. Assuming they keep it.

I hope they keep it, but it really depends on ratings. They added the "Toonami" name to boost ratings for sure, but if they notice a drop in views after the initial few weeks they'll either scratch it completely or revamp the line up. Or if it's extremely popular, they may feel like they have more leeway to add different things.

Right now I see this as them keeping with what draws in the crowd now, and adding "test" shows to see if they catch.

Doesn't matter what they change. Real Toonami is dead and gone. And it's being replicated with...this.
