Help me, here is the situation: my mom asked me to let my little brother borrow my USB game controler, it worked just fine but then when she bought a different one for him it said this: " A sort of power has occured ". I have already click the option to make the usb port work again but since then even the old one shows the same thing.
What should i do ?
Thanks in advance

I might be wrong but either the new controller is damage and it drain too much power from the computer triggering a safety feature on your computer, or your on a laptop and it appears the USB device/s are drawing too much power for your laptop power supply/battery and causing the system to crash.
are you running more than the usb controller like a exHDD and a printer or any usb power device at the same time. If so you need a power usb hub and use it for the other stuff. Might be this if not then the controller or drivers for it mess with something in the system... how to fix it.. remove the driver if that is what the problem is... it all a crap shoot.

That is most likely the case. Where are you plugging in the controller? Are you plugging it to the back ports of your computer, the front ports, or a USB hub? If you are using the front ports or a hub; most of the time, those ports can't provide enough power to power a higher than 500mA device (such as external hard drives 3.5" in size). If that's the case, plug it to a powered port such as the back of the computer (which is tied to the motherboard) or a powered USB hub (one that has powered provided by a transformer adapter).
