[Locked] Ventrilo

Ok guys, I have Windows 7 and I tried to install vent so I could talk with my buddies while playing...The thing is that It doesnt work :S. I mean, I can install the program with no errors, then I launch it and it just stays with a message of "contacting server" I have the Ip and channel of the host, the server doesnt have any binds or password. What could be the problem? all the settings are set on default and I downloaded the latest vent from their site (Windows i386 - 32bit - Win2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008, Windows 7 (Version 3.0.5)).

lol...sorry, by "channel" I meant port.

When you start Ventrilo, under the "Server" box, does it say "Server Available"?
