Can you cope financially to go after your dream?
If you can do it and you won't regret your decision if not save up till you do if you can save up for it.

Well I think I'll be able to cope financially but it will be hard. I mean I pay rent, bills, petrol for car, etc. While my gf and I share some of the expenses, I will still need to do my part of course. In order to do that, I'll need to find a casual/part-time job that will pay alright (probably 2 jobs). So, I don't know...
My gf is supportive and she says that I should go for it but I'm still trying to weigh things down. But thanks, I think I should just save up for it first. That only crossed my mind when you said it. lol.

Frankly it sounds like you are in a good place right now.
Maybe you should stay with that, while studying video game design online or in books just on your own, until you are able to support yourself enough to take a smaller job and enroll in formal training?

otherwise ten or twenty years from now you'll be regretting about not taking that opportunity

dreams are darn little burgers

I once wanted to become a video game designer and still do. But then I found out that a video game designing position doesn't necessarily call for the study of video game design. Majoring in Video game Design is too categorized and subjected. I'd be careful with what you do.

I'm actually in college for game design and development. while I'm more into doing concept art, the program I'm in is more about coding and such. I'm still a freshman and I'm not sure how much a job in game design pays, but I'd much rather get paid little in a job I like than get paid a lot for a job I hate. luckily, my college has quite a few co-op programs so I shouldn't have trouble getting a job after graduating.
