I know most of us love a graphic novel or a nice manga/hentai, but don't you sometimes like unwinding by doing the classic novel reading? I do that from time to time and accidentally found a gem this summer.
I'm reading the ebook (digital book) "The Way To Dawn" by Charles Lee and I'm enjoying it. told my buds and they're liking it too. But I'm not the fastest reader so when I heard from my friend that the second book came out I was like, "Must finish!"
Anyway, I'm rambling. That's what I'm reading at the moment! How about you?

I am three quarters of the way through, "Journey to the West," by Wu Cheng'En.
It is the story of the Monkey King's quest to protect a Buddhist priest on his way to collect Buddha's scriptures and return them to China.

I guess nobody reads books besides me, ToyManC, and FuckYoHouse. Everyone just watches movies in this section of the forums. : /

+1 to ToyManC. I love Journey to the West and any rendition of the story (yes, including dbz and Avatar:The Last Airbender). I practically grew up on it ;~;
I finished reading Haruki Murakami's The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. I also have a running list of books to read when I'm not bogged down in my research. Don't mind me... I just like my psychology.

- Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain, by David Eagleman
- The Wisdom of Psychopaths: What Saints, Spies, and Serial Killers Can Teach, by Dr. Kevin Dutton.
- The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment, by Eckhart Tolle.

I'm always into psychological things so I may give some of these a look.

But I believe you posted this in the right category since reading should be entertaining and/or informative. The readers are out there, they just have to find the thread.

Currently reading the last book of the Time of Legends series on Nagash, called "Nagash the Immortal".
Pretty good material, specifics on the historical events, lots of Nekharean lore and culture.
All in all a good book.
The one before that was "What Wise Men Fear". That was a damn good book.

School-required reading kind of ruined classic novels for me... I read plenty of newer ones, mainly fantasy and science fiction, but historical fiction, non-fiction, and classic fiction don't appeal to me
I am currently reading Game of Thrones

Same here. I should have read The Great Gatsby, but school made the idea not worth it back then. Maybe I'll read it someday.

I had to read it for school, all you need to know is that the green light means money.

Lol, noted.
This thread is becoming such a great book reference spot now. I'm loving it!
