PDF makes the most sense to me, hence why I voted for it. I mean, most everyone has Adobe Acrobat, right?

Actually I think you meant everyone has Adobe READER which works except all you can do is read. Very little use of any other functions

Zip/cbz. I use MComix to read all of my downloaded stuff because I can display pages how I want.

Also, not everyone has Adobe Reader (Adobe Reader is really bloated). I don't use Windows, so Ocular is my PDF viewer.

I guess ZIP's much better.

I would like to see something what emanga.com dose for all of there manga's and you can choose what format you want it on and you can also chooses the different mobile devices as we'll

I've never really liked downloading these kinds of "material" onto my computers, I honestly prefer accessing them online than downloading them...

I generally prefer to read online, but I think the choice between both compressed downloads and online viewing would be the best.

How would you deal with the possibility of people distributing or sharing FAKKU books for free?

Also hi Diaz. Didn't know you went here for self-improvement.

That's what what I was thinking too, I like the idea of people actually having to buy it to help support Fakku.

Obviously, you will need to buy FAKKU Books digitally to be able to legitimately download them from here.

As for piracy, no matter what we did someone would probably always find a way to share it illegally somehow, so with that in mind we're not going to let any kind of fears of piracy to get in the way of providing the best possible service for legitimate paying customers.

Also, it's Daiz, not Diaz.

then technically speaking from a graphic design standpoint PDF would be the best format because it turns everything into vectors at least everything put in there designed as vectors which basically means they are resolution independent you can make them as big or small as you want and there will be no pixelation because they're not pixels it's a bunch of math instead if any of this doesn't make sense then I might be able to explain or you could Google how Adobe Illustrator works I am certified in that program from Adobe

Bitmap images (which the actual source images FAKKU gets also are) aren't going to magically turn into vectors inside PDFs. No matter what formats we end up offering, they're all essentially going to have the same kind of bitmap images inside each of them.

Definitely a zip file. Easiest way to download it.

I'm going to pre-order the physical/digital deal when I get paid on the 25th. I personally won't download and will only read it online mostly cause I don't use my laptop for porn only meh phone lol.

I much rather just read them online however;

I prefer PDF because it's simpler and it means I can read them on my iPad

I dunno, I normally just download files in ZIP and extract them out for collection purposes, but for reading I read online and also from the downloaded files.

Then again, everyone has their preferences so I have no idea.

I too prefer zip files for collection purposes. But maybe its better to have both zip and pdf for more choices of users. ;)

options are fine but what im concerned about is the possibility of reading 2 pages side by side easily. is quite common to find half a girl on one page and half on the other, this is good on paper, but on digital have its problems.

some groups ignore the issue, some blend the 2 pages in "one image" but it becomes very little when using the online reader, other groups include both the images separated and the mixed one.

Can you modify the online reader so than displaying 2 pages side by side is painless? is there any way to do this using CBZ or PDF?

CDisplayEx has that option and adobe reader(I think).

Using CDisplay EX is kind of the best way to read Manga. It's very smooth unlike PDF reader that is kind of laggy when reading images.

And also I like to have them on my hard disk for easier view and who know I might read them in the future.

I definitely fall into the zip category because it really does give the most flexibility. If you have intermittent internet, it's good to have a hard copy, and of course you get the choice of whatever image viewer you like. PDF's aren't inherently bad, but they do tend to be larger in file size because of the overhead, and then I've never really had a good/smooth experience with a PDF viewer. They always seem slower and ... "clunky" compared to a simple image viewer.

In any case, thanks for letting us voice our absurd opinions, and good luck! I look forward to reading this first release!

It's a shame when a great looking comic has no download links or the one link it has is broken...

Had voted PDF, but I agree with what Freaks and Ryssen said so the first option is good for me.

^ This.
I initially clicked pdf, but zip format does indeed seem much more logical

In my opinion, Zip is the best one, was gonna choose PDF at first though. In fact, any format is good as long as it delivers! :D But in the end, Zip.

I have a Kindle Fire HDX, so anything Kindle compatible (epub or mobi, I guess) would be best for me. Offering a variety of options is the way to go, really. Image files for archiving, ebook formats for tablets, pdfs for near universal compatibility, etc. Offering a variety of formats is one of the things emanga.com gets right. Of course, they charge extra if you download more than one format, so they get a lot wrong, too...
