what is msiexe it/doing

it started on thursaday of last week, msiexe popped up and would not go away no matter what i did including antivirus so i clicked allow screwed with my antivirus and internet browsers (did a system recovery now it happens again to day did another one)so i am asking you b4 it comes back wtf is it? and it gets made on the same day as well plus its a dr link library thing


oh fucking perfect my google toolbar got deleted so i had to dl a new firefox which go rid of all my bookmarks everysingle one so how could i get all them back?

msiexe is a program needed to run, install and change stuff on windows. You really don't want to disable that.

What kind of antivirus program do you have?

defenders pro... yeah but shouldnt it be in the system32 folder instead of the users folder?

No idea why but yeah. By Defenders pro you mean Windows Defender or something else?

There are virus that hide themselves under the msiexec flag or it can also be Adobe Air. Try malware bytes and Registry checker.. if it not a virus or a msiexec.exe related error then.. well i don;t know.

Try using Microsoft Security Essential. It's surprisingly reliable even if it was made my Microsoft.

Viruses can take names of important files on the computer. I suggest doing system restore back to the date before you got it. And dont do the same thing you did again that caused that message to show up.
