-Hand to hand martial arts, and a bat added to lessen the energy I exhaust. A bat since chopping off the head without hitting bone is difficult and after awhile the blood on a blade will harden and dull the blade (can't wipe after each swipe when crowded). As well the power needed too is quite a bit, tire fast. Blunt weapon would be more efficient, and bats have good range.
-A set of light, small pistols that can carry extended large clips, and preferably a silencer. A big gun would be heavy, loud, and run out of ammo quickly.
-A bow and some make shift arrows.
-A good knife or 2, for food and crafting.
-A mid size pack or backpack, holding magazines, liquids (some alcoholic), cloth's, fire crackers (a lot), make shift material for explosives, lock picks, gas mask, night vision goggles, binoculars, pain killers, sleeping pills, dry rations, maps, satellite radio, rechargeable battery and kit, compass, cellphone with a back up battery and charger, flash light, 2 lighters, rope, kits for purifying water.
-A crow bar, as a back up to the bat, and for entering places.
-Some of this is adding up to quite a bit, I'd have a rather silent car (maybe hot wired), store some of this material in the car, water, gas, clothes, soap and deodorant, dry food, a 3rd blunt weapon, maybe another bat, more rope.
-In the car carry a light recoil, easily re-loadable gun in case of emergencies, such as a machine gun or assult rifle, and one for worst case scenarios such as shot a shot gun.
-Car would probably be silent, but if I prioritize traveling far lot, I may get a big strong car and simply stop outside cites, travel by foot inside, in that case a bike as well. (Spray painted black windows or tinted black)
-A journal and a laptop.
Does it affect animals? If not a fishing rod.
I know, this is just plain equipment, but they're all weapons in the battle for survival against zombies.
-Also some books, or a portable device with a huge hard drive with a lot of video's or ebooks on them. (Earphones of course), loneliness is dangerous. (Ashamed to say this, but porn would probably be necessary too, human being after all)
-If I get better with computers, hacking software on the laptop. With some engineering tools and wires.
-For clothing, army regulation clothes and body shielding seems good for the event of human vs human combat. May be too heavy though, so I can lose it.
-If I can find a low powered (quieter) sniper for human interaction, kept in vehicle, then trow that into the car.
-Tear gas, smoke, and flash grenades would all be useful for humans, and some kinds of zombies.
