Originally I was going to place this in SD but I realized that it was just going to be a rant so I decided to place it here instead.
As many of you don't care to know, I'm a waning Christian (meaning I have my own set of Christian beliefs, but not all of them coincide with the bible, hence why I'm here)but there are times where I'm just appalled at the absurd amount of stupidity some "Christians" have. Take these idiots for example. They literally just stood by a prayed (which in my eyes is the same as doing nothing) over their 12 year old daughter as she died in front of them. When I read this, I just lost my shit (at least on the inside.) Can you really be that fucking blind and ignorant that you'd rather just 'pray everything away?'
Believe me, if their stupidity stopped there, I wouldn't be mad, but it gets even worse. Let me just give you a few quotes from the article to show you how retarded they are.
The final nail in the coffin is the fact that the Judge ordered them to serve one month in jail each year for six years, with them alternating between who goes to jail and who does.

They let their daughter slowly die and all they get is six months worth of jail time? If I was that judge, I would've let them serve the full 25 years that they were supposed to get. It just amazes me that these idiots were parent's and yet they didn't even know to go out and seek help! What's worse where that the grandparents didn't bother to call an ambulance or the cops and let them know what was going on. Sure, the parent's would've hated them, and the daughter might've ended up with the state, but at least she would've had a chance at life!
I just.....I give up. If these are the people we're entrusting to raise the next generation, we might as well just let the world burn.

You mentioned stupidity, blindness, ignorance and retardedness (retardation?) when refering to their beliefs. Well, even though I don't really know what you, personally, believe in, I'm fairly certain those words could apply to you as well. Maybe your beliefs wouldn't include letting a 12 year old girl die but if you are going to insult other religions or beliefs for being stupid, you might as well take a look at your own.
To avoid any misconceptions, I am not, in any way, supporting those people. They have done something remarkably stupid but, sadly, it is not the first time I'm hearing it. I am just pointing out the irony when a religious person insults a particular set of beliefs.

Only Jehovah's and Christian scientists are this type of backwards beliefs. My sect doesn't do this... if god created humans then he cool with medicine and science. God gave us a brain and free will... not brain dead zombie follows to a book written by people with 90% of the new testament written by people not there.
