Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Ultimate?

I was wondering, would it be possible for me to upgrade my windows 7 starter to windows 7 ultimate? Since i have the cd for windows 7 ultimate. I dont want to reformat my system so i was wonderin if i can upgrade this starter to an ultimate.

yes, u can. however, it has to be the same bit version (ex: x64 to x64). U do not have to reformat it. However, if u use the custom install, it'll move all your old files to a separate file.
