This is a matter i get confused about it. i'm a guy so i really don't know. obviously the women must pick men due to their personalities but from the my experience and what i have seen, it all proves me wrong.

I think women choose to date guys based off looks and personallity and vice versa, but marriage requires a little deeper compatibility.

I'm really only attracted to personality. Sure, there are things I like to look at, but I can be around really hot guys and not really notice them. It's when someone shows their personality and it attracts me that I suddenly begin to pay attention.

I think this is a stupid question. Why does anyone get married? Women don't have a universal, magical reason for choosing a mate that applies to all womankind. It depends on the individual like saibot said. I'd like to think most people get married for love.

Ahhh...I never really pay attention to good looking guys. Unless they have sexy eyebrows and I could just stare at them all day.

2. Choices (aka all the men around you suck find the least suckiest of them all
3.Looks
4.Personality
5.Prestige
6.Age
7.Forced (parental/sold)
8.Secks
9.Drugs
More often than not it is a mixture of the above and more that I couldnt think up.
When I was younger I thought it was looks, then a bit older I thought it was money.
Finally I realised its neither of those.
Its the woman. It all depends on her fragile moods.

Very few people genuinely pursue love interests based solely on personality and love compatibility. I happen to be one of the few, so I feel that my input is not as... applicable. I do however... like to believe that personality wins over in the grand scheme of things. But, marriage means something unique to each person, and that includes the factors that deem someone 'marriageable' in any given person's eyes.

No matter who you are, looks will always contribute to what you think of a certain person, you may think that personality is 100%, but it NEVER is.
Personally i think women are the worst for picking guys that look good but are absolute cocks xD, marriage though...not so sure
