I was really surprised by this section...

I mean it. Fakku is (no matter how you say it) a porn site... right? I have been lurking around here for couple of months now and have found most users more friendly (and intelligent) than in most sites. But this was the first time i felt up for checking "Serious Discussion".
I ended up feeling totally mind-blown. The topics were seriously interesting and there are almost none (if any) trolls.
So I'm asking: Who or what makes it possible for a place where people download their porn, to spawn ideas and discussions like these?


Just to make sure everyone knows: Im not trying to downgrade fakku or anything.

Awesome mods and admins, perhaps? I've got to admit, for all the time I've lurked Fakku and the short time that I've posted, this "porn site," as you call it, I've noticed that it harbors some of the more tolerant and intelligent denizens of the interwebs than any other forum I've seen.

The admin provides the medium. The users make the discussions. Just because this is a hentai site doesn't mean we don't want to share our ideas with one another.

But alot of people (not specifically on this site) seem to not like the way some of the people here act. Sorry, I have to say this, but alot of people thing people with "waifus'" are weird, and adding "Ruuuuuuuuuu" to the end of every post doesn't really help with the whole image concept (sorry Kaho, I had a bunch of people complain about it when I showed them a forum can have intelligent users).

I'm gonna quote my hockey trainer here (seriously).
"I'm not bashing on anyone's character or anything, I'm sure they're all nice, caring people who love to have a good time, but it's the little things that need to be fixed."

Sorry about using some people as examples.

Simply put, it's the users along with the staff that make it possible.

Staff (admins/mods) provide the infrastructure for everything to run smoothly.

We have a diverse group of open minded people though there are certain people who are a still bit closed but, can't be perfect.

One person had said before that we were very raw in what we say. We're very honest, even though this is a hentai website. But I think that is the reason why we are so honest. We don't have to fake who we are here, nor hide our tastes. That, and the fact that we're anonymous, makes it a very free space. Also, the community is usually very welcoming. I think that's why people are so open and so serious here on Fakku.

To Each His Own. Some Has very Serious Intellectual Ideas That They Want To Share. Others Are Willing To Listen And Give Their Opinions Too.

I also see that people don't belittle each other's ideas. It may just be the fact the we want to prove the other person wrong, but for some odd reason even when people disagree we just debate the facts until we reach a conclusion or agree to disagree.

I've disagreed with alot of people and I'm sure others would think I've had completely idiotic post, but admins and the users keep it civil and I've respected people's opinions and for the most part people respect mine.

The thing is you sort of have to realize that Fakku is not full of a drove of horny idiots. We all have ideas and thoughts that we wish to express and this site lets us do that with others. So in short we can convey our ideas in a place where we can be heard and hear the thoughts of others that lead to meaningful conversations.
