Impossible addiction?

I was having shots of Expresso in my kitchen when I had a thought. I began thinking about the argument of Caffeine addiction. So many doctors write articles that you absolutely cannot become physically addicted to caffeine. Did you know if you shoot a rat up with a small amount of coffee, the rat will convulse violently for two minutes, then die? Caffeine affects the nervous system of the body, making it a stimulant. Anyway, I would really like to hear your personal oppinion. Can you become physically addicted to caffeine? What are your thoughts? -AT9-

You, sir, sound addicted. Physical or mental, I don't know, but I would seriously consider laying off that shit if I were you. You never really know if one more cup will bring on a full fledged heart attack.

lol, thanks for the tip. On a serious note, I'm not anywhere near those old days, so the only heart attack I'm giving myself is from a juicy burger, and I don't have those often so I'm probably good. As for the 'wall of text' That wasn't the product of being strungout; I write very constructively, thus I accidentally write more than I intend sometimes. Well, Thanks for the laugh [the way you quoted me was quite funny] and the input.

I'm personally addicted to caffeine but not as high as your addiction :?
I kinda' got stuck to coffees only xD I started drinking coffee at the age of 11, but I haven't got any cravings for new highs... yet.

Well, in my opinion, like anything you can become addicted to it in a way. Continuously doing something over and over will get you(mind and body) used to- well whatever it happens to be.
Example,
You used to always(or at least quite often) drink or use caffeine, which altered your normal self. More aware, jittery maybe, or even just able to focus better. Minimal changes, but you got used to them and the feelings they accompanied.. it was your new normal.
So, after stopping you where no longer normal.. follow?
Same as with certain drugs, the high becomes the user's normal which is why it can be so hard to quit. But caffeine is much less severe, as with the changes.
Sooo, you get the idea. This is just a theory and my own opinion on it but I think you know what I mean.
You now returning to the ol' habit may be you just remembering that normal and the feelings or, the fact it's caffeine.
Heh, caffeine is the world's favorite 'get me up' for a reason.

Glad I could get a laugh out of you. Didn't want that whole post quoted, and I just didn't feel like going *snip* again.
Anyway, just because you're young doesn't make you immune. I've known a guy or two in their twenties who've had heart attacks (survived), and while they were pretty much asking for it, you at one time were too. That chest pains stuff... Never get anywhere near massive amounts of caffeine again, and just generally be careful where your heart is concerned.
Get addicted to grape juice, that shit is fucking win.
