Unlikely to pass anytime soon. But this was accompanied with a anti-piracy change which will easily pass unfortunately.

I genuinely don't understand how this is still a thing. Especially when it comes to hentai. The only thing holding them back is, from what I can gather, the fact that they don't want other countries to have a worse opinion of Japan. But honestly, everybody knows already. At least everybody who regularly uses the internet. It's also not like its the only country with weird porn. I bet there is weird stuff in from every country. And most countries don't have censorship, so what gives? Though Japan has everyone else beat when it comes to animated porn. Or is at least on equal footing with the US. Additionally, PornHub is to be belived, japanese porn and hentai are very popular.
We can only hope that a bill, that removes censorship, is passed sooner rather than later.

My only wish that this stupid law will be abolish in the right time. But its gonna be a challenge since there will be opposing parties. Japanese peeps has the right to see uncensored porn to fap for.

Considering how slow the Japanese government is when changing stuff like this, we probably wont see the results for a long time. I hope it passes though.

Quick summary: The law apparently suggest to the real person (actor/actress) consent the censorship of their work, so its unlikely to affect 2D work.

Considering the existence of kazuko ito who backed connie bonaros' effort to attack anime in australia I doubt this is a rumor. Their demands are crazy (and I'd like to think it won't happen because otaku aren't going to replace love live or priconne h-doujins with miyazaki's aya and the witch) but I prefer to nip shit like this in the bud.

Australian politicians have always hated anime, and it's unlikely that the alleged support of a Japanese feminist group had anything to do with what went on over there. The Japanese government has typically defended the creative freedom of anime and manga. If I were you, I'd be more concerned about the recent crackdown on major porn sites here in the West by payment processors, and plans by lawmakers to impose new rules on porn. It may never effect Fakku or anime and manga in general, but I'd say it is more likely to matter than this is.

If Japan did get rid of the censorship, would that kill the innovation they have into all the weird fetishes that sprung from censorship?

Hopefully they do start to change, however there are entire industries built around the censorship. The JAV industry is able to take additional creative liberties due to the fact that you can't tell what the genitalia really are.
