Sexual Point of View
Does the point of view of a narrator affect your sexual arousal?
0
Hi people of Fakku! I'm an undergraduate who's preparing a study concerning pornography and sexual point of view (from a narrator), and I'm considering to put an online survey in my report, and I need people who actually view such material (in our case, hentai).
Don't worry guys, your identity won't be revealed... I don't know it anyway, so yeah. Haha.
Consider this situation: You're reading a hentai doujin or manga that is presented in such a style that the characters don't talk to each other, but are narrating the events in the scene, in such a way that a girl would say: He put his dick into my wet pussy, and a guy would say: She took my dick into her wet pussy.
So, the question is...
Does the Point of View of a narrator affect your sexual arousal, in such a way that, if you're a guy, then I would be more aroused if the narrative was from the guy's point of view. Please categorize your response in coordination with your biological sex. :D
Thanks guys!

I would have to say that it Does affect my arrousal. I would be more aroused if it were from a woman't point of view, because there're enough of them out there from a man's point of view.
I am a man.
I am a man.

I'm a woman, and it doesn't really matter whose POV it is, as long as it's written well. Bad storylines and bad grammar get my mojo down.

No option for from the point of view of an observer? I think that's kinda hot too... xD

In case of the hentai section no it just made me a bit angry but it's different for every doujin also it depend on the story either it's good or not. Take example the anime or manga from TMOSH if the story is good even narrating alone will be like having a dialog with someone. Anyway a doujin self narration? what kind of doujin is that?

Male. As long as it's written well, it's all good. Although if it is presented from the POV of the narrator it does affect my arousal (In a good way.)

It usually does yes, sometimes I don't care but a lot of times it just makes it that much better for me at least :)

WOW ! The result now is in tight
Sometimes it makes me more turn on because I can know the detail feelings when they are having sex, and that is because I cannot directly feel what they do. So, if the naration is very erotic, it would be good

I'm a dude and...yes, it does affect it. I usually don't like the narration since it kinda kills the mood imo. So far, all the doujins I've seen where there's a narrator have sucked because either the narration sucked (horrible language...like a caveman reporter in the room shouting what he sees) or the narration took so much of the doujin up that the characters had little to no dialogue and there was, at best, 2 pages of sex.
Also, from a camera POV, it greatly affects it since I don't like it when the angle's like this:

It does affect my arousal to read whats going on in the character's head. Kinda like Mogudan's Rei series.

I voted yes because it's interesting on how author or writer makes the character play out the situation on his thoughts on it.

Oh, sorry. I never saw that thread and I've had problems uploading .gifs on forums in the past. I'll fix it now.

It really depends on the writer's skill, rather than the POV, but I generally don't like reading 1st person.
When I read the opening lines of Moby Dick, I cringed.
There are exceptions. "Marie" and "Leda in Black and White" are examples of incredibly hot 1st person POV novels.
I am male. POV of male or female doesn't matter to me, although I noticed that POV male stories are often more narcissistic that I'd like.
So i guess my answer is: male, POV _does_ affect.

Some translators DO write like that... which sucks.
But I think it's because of the Japanese way of speaking that it gets messed up? I could be wrong her...
Also, this is why romance novels always sound so cheesy.

Female here, and yes, the POV definitely has a direct correlation to my arousal. I'm generally more attracted to women, and I enjoy seeing them get off more than men. If a male is the POV, I find that I am less interested, and will sometimes even stop watching/reading whatever it may be.
BTW, may I ask what undergrad class this is for? I'm a Psychology major so I am curious.

Im Male.
In general, Im more aroused if POV is a female. Why?
Its a bit like stepping into the unkown, passing a border that cannot be passed in any other way.
I also read a LOT of erotic novels, and there its even more inportant, as the author only have one way of comunicating arousal.
anyway, summing up; Male, Yes POV is inportant, Female preffered.

i feel the storyline is very important, but im a male and i feel from a male POV i can relate to the situation better and imagine what it would be like if that were to happen to me.
