When it is necessary to call someone an oreo/wigger/weeaboo?

DISCLAIMER: Before you penalize, me the words in the topic title are not meant to be derogatory, they are for Serious Discussion purposes only.
As an African American who likes anime, listens to metal, despises BET, talks like an educated individual, and doesn't follow the "Black" norm, I've often been insulted. I've been called oreo, ding-dong (a chocolate cupcake with white cream filling), and white-ass. I ABSOLUTELY hate the fact that I get made fun of for being myself as eccentric as I am. Is it necessary to call someone with a derogatory title?
Also for the hip-hop loving "non-African American" that sags and wears doo-rags, follows the *ahem* "black norm" and/or sags their pants; did you ever get called a wigger? If so, how did you react?
Those who were accused of being called a "Weeaboo" (who made up that stupid word anyway?) can probably relate to this too.

Perry Bible Fellowship comic. Learn it.
Also, it's never "necessary" to call anyone out on their oddities, but it is sometimes good if they're overdoing it to a harmful/upsetting extent.

Hrm.
Well part of it is that there is a distinction between someone who really enjoys something, and someone who is doing it to do it.
Terms like Oreo, Wigger, and Weeaboo originally were meant to make fun of people who were just being faux versions of stereotypes.
Like for example. Enjoying anime or being interested in Japanese culture doesn't necessarily make you a Weeaboo. Some people might call you such, but it is a term that was meant for someone who does things like "OMG! There is nothing better than Anime. It is so much better than american cartoons and it has such a more mature outlook." They also try to interject random japanese into their conversation such as nani, konichiwa, moshi moshi, hai and so on. They are not longer doing this because they enjoy those things. They are trying to emulate what they think is something awesome because they feel it makes them better.
This is not a good thing. It's why people make fun of emos who dress up like idiots and talk about how the world hates them and blah blah blah. They're just doing it for attention and deserve being made fun of.
This is considerably different than enjoying emo type music.
Same thing with goths who like to shop at hot topic, anything dealing with sparkly vampires and so on.
So basically put.
If you like it because you like it. You're not something like that and people are idiots for calling you it.
But if you like it because you are a slave to trends and can't think for yourself. You are faux and thus are things like an oreo/wigger/weeaboo and so on, and deserve all the mockery you get thrown at you.

I am also a member of a minority and have heard my share of ridiculous names - after almost 60 years I have come to the realization that these people are saying much more about themselves then they are about you. You are successful, literate and enjoy your life - the names are thrown about by people who are not successful, are not literate and probably not very happy. They are not willing to try and change their own situations so the next best thing to do is belittle you for working hard and bettering yourself. Screw them - the only way you end up losing is if you let them get to you.

It's never necessary. You're only going to get comments like that from very ignorant people and anyone from the 4chan demographic, more specifically anyone from /b/.
Although, saying "ignorant people" and "4chan users" in the same sentence is a little bit redundant. Ho ho.

"im always cute"
I can see why you would be offended, but maybe you should take it as a mark of pride. Last I checked, in most places, being educated was a merit. It's actually quite ironic that you would be mocked for not engaging in what I would consider borderline criminal culture.

Like Maven, I too am a minority and for most of my childhood put up with the abuse that being different attracts.
"Oreo" Stupid "nickname" But I think it is a vast improvement on "Uncle Tom" which had the same connotation. A black person trying to be or acting like a white person.
Just like reading Fox News you have to consider the source
Here is an old saying I just made up.
"Dumb people aren't going to get any smarter so they make fun of those who are actually educated and can speak/dress/act properly. The thinking? is that it makes them look better"
I say. Let them have their little fantasies because it doesn't.
IOW Fuckem
It is 4:30 in the morning. What the hell am I doing up?

I guess the problem is that the world has a lot more stupid than smart people on board...By stupid I mean the fools that get pleasure in beating up or insulting people that are weaker or different than them...The ones that think that they are the example of a perfect human and all rest are losers, fags, nerds etc etc...
And by smart people I mean well mannered people that don't annoy others and have a lot more positive than negative qualities

The only time I use terms like that is when I'm joking around with good friends or talking to this one kid that only responds when called Oreo.

I hate to called someone weeaboo no matter who they are. I know we are not on the same lvl but it's still doesn't feel right to called some one lower than us, poorer than us, stupid than us,crazier than us nor an otaku a weeaboo. Although sometimes i also been called that but i fight back by doing something they didn't like but also don't have the power to stop it just like when they wanna borrow a toilet on your rooom put a poop on the toilet handle and whenever they want to flush they still have to touch the poop.. How's that?

I don't ever use those terms to directly offend someone, I only call that to my friends, and don't say it where people may get the wrong idea if I call my black friend a n*gger. But I also see it like the South Park episode, you don't have to be gay to be a fag, just annoying, although that leads to a different argument regarding why some races/preferences are used as insults... I'm stopping now.

I make it a point to call at least one person a day a weeaboo. I am called weeaboo more often than that. Since when was it derogatory?

Someone may call me weeaboo and I'd sense that the person disdains me. And I hate it when people look down on me.
Another person may also call me weeaboo, but in a more joking manner that makes me kinda like it.
Depends on how you look at it.
