Game torrent - I'm seeding it btw but not all day.

Instructions
- Extract the files and mount "AC-001.mdf". Install the DirectX and the game.
- Install the english patch by confirming the folder where you installed the game.
- Run "しにきす.exe" to play.

I had a problem where the patch wouldn't install and instead would say that the game wasn't installed where I installed it.

I fixed it by running the patch in Japanese locale and in admin mode.

After installing the patch, I launched the VN, tried going into fullscreen, somehow it broke the game with an error, I no longer had the windows overlay around the game, like it trying going in fullscreen but failed, I could no longer click on anything after pressing OK, even though I was in the game as I could hear the music.
Closed the game, tried reopening it, same error from the get go, could do nothing.

Because I could do nothing after this error, I reinstalled the VN, didn't apply the patch, tried going in fullscreen, nope, error right there... So what am I doing wrong here? (I downloaded from the torrent provided above)
Here's a picture of the issue.

Did you try to install the DirectX package that comes with the game? You can install it from the menu that comes up when you mount the game.

Also try the usual thing about admin mode, compatibility and install on a different folder. I'm using the torrent I posted and didn't get any problems.

I did try to install the directx that came with it, still the same issue.
Will try changing the whole OS's unicode to Japanese to see if it fixes it (using applocal)

Edit1 : Changing the OS to unicode japanese fixed it. So the game doesn't take kindly to Applocal I guess. Will try going back to the normal unicode and try a few other things.

Edit2 : Alright... Well I guess Applocal is the issue, the game works fine without it in my usual unicode, I'm just so used to using Applocal for Japanese stuff I hadn't even tried without it since that generally causes issue for me.

Edit3 : It does cause some text related issue... FML
To the left is without Applocal, to the right is with Applocal.

Edit4 : changed the default font to Osaka Mono, much better. Works perfectly fine now without applocal.

So we need to manually adjust the font...

Finished the game.
