Atmosphir VS Minecraft

Atmosphir is a game focused on making levels. But we've seen that before haven't we? Minecraft and Roblox are the first i can think off.

Everyone is talking about minecraft these days. I bet it's played a lot.
I always wanted to put these two against eachother :3 :



Pro's Atmosphir

Better graphics.
More multiplayer modes.
2D ánd 3D
Moving platforms
Triggers
Camera's
Not own server based.
LOTSA features.

Con's Atmosphir

Multiplayer sucks.
No liquid stuff like water or lava. (At least not flowing)
Sometimes rather buggy/laggy
Requires Unity Webplayer (Free download)
No team building

Pro's Minecraft

Liquids :P
Day night differences
Lot's of different stuffs
Online building


Con's Minecraft
Server based, so for your own game, you gotta have a server :3
Graphics giving me shivers

Anyway, personally i prefer Atmosphir.

It seems you are only comparing Minecraft Classic with Atmosphir. Minecraft has a completely separate mode, which is currently called Alpha or Survival, which is what most people love and play in Minecraft, myself included. I could explain exactly what it is, but it would be much easier, and entertaining if I just linked you to a Let's Play session with it.

I would recommend you watch the first 5 or 6 episodes.

Basically, Minecraft and Atmosphir are only similar in the fact that you can build.

I have not played Atmosphir so I can't comment too much on it, but from what I've seen it looks entertaining and I might give it a try. I think Triela was on the right track as it looks they are only similar/comparable in that they both have creative freedom in building. But I won't say much until I actually try Atmosphir.

Also you had graphics under cons for Minecraft, but I find that it's one of the best charms of the game. I enjoy the low res textures and blocky structures, just my opinion. But hey, if you don't care for it there's nothing wrong with that either.

Playing Minecraft is like playing with Lego you don't need the best graphics to have an imagination.

Edge to Minecraft. My eyes burned and I saw blocks after one good session. That's how you know if it's effective or not. :3
