Seems this will be Rocksteady's final Batman game. So what do you all think? Is this a buy or pass?

Hyped for Arkham Knight!!! Hahahaahaha. Arkham Origins was horrible. It was a like "Thor" before "The Avengers". Was just there to hype you for the next thing.
Complete faith in rocksteady here. Although I don't like Harley's new outfit in the trailer.
I love it!! Even though the title "Arkham Knight" doesn't sound good at all

I hear you. What rustled my jimmies the most was that the name "Arkham Knight" is the name of the the new villain Rocksteady is putting out. Personally, I would prefer they'd do something with Hush as the main villain; put Bruce through a psychological battle with his childhood friend, but this is good too.

Is this a buy or pass?Did you even play the other Rocksteady games? Arkham City was game of the year of 2011 as far as I was concerned. Skyrim couldn't go fuck itself hard enough.

I doubt he's capable of the grandiose, mind raping schemes that Scarecrow is. Also, Hush is guaranteed to be in this game; Rocksteady teased him in Arkham City with a side mission by giving us a glimpse of his frankenface and the knowledge that trolling Batman is his life goal. In fact, they set up a few interesting developments with side missions. Azrael told bats to be prepared for shit, as if to imply Batman isn't perpetually prepared for fans to be covered in turd. (Too bad he couldn't stop fans from being deluged by a shit storm when Origins came out.)
What I'm concerned about is Rocksteady properly implementing the batmobile. I'm sure they understand that the moment we're at the driver's seat we are the goddamn Batman, and not only do we not believe in narrow corridors, but traffic laws are just a figment of society's pathetic delusions.
Edit: noticed an oversight. Here's where I got the Scarecrow bit: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=103117166&postcount=1

As a big fan of the first two Arkham games, this is really great news. I was never really hyped for Origins when I learnt it wasn't made by Rocksteady, and looked how poorly it was received. I'm also glad that it's an official sequel to City, there were a few open ended things from the side mission in City that I'd like to see come to a close in Arkham Knight, though I'm kinda miffed it's going to be next gen exclusive.
And driving the Batmobile is going to complete the whole Batman experience. I just hope Kevin Conroy is reprising his role, he's simply the best voice for Batman ever.

Arkham knight just doesnt have the ring to it like dark knight does..
I still havent done origins due to the poor reviews so ill wait and see for this one too.
Kinda sad to see the series get sequal squeezed like it has been though.. The first one was probably the best super hero game to date. For me, City was better and worse in various areas. The more open world design sort of killed the castelvanian feel of the original with its smaller levels and more intricate design. I mean flying across the city was neat and all but that was kind of all the city brought. It became a filler hub used to enter quest buildings and get annoyed with riddler collection. In asylum I was much more compelled to explore the maps for all they had to offer, whether comic trivia entries or riddle thingies etc, and getting a new gadget to open up a area I noticed earlier but couldnt get through then made it feel like I was actually progressing. In city you just fly from objective to objective.
Dont get me wrong, open world design can be very fun and engaging if done right and city did still do this better than origin I hear but overall I felt it was detrimental to the experience. Open world works best if the world is full of quests and has branching storylines. Guilds, towns, exploration, that kind of deal Eg elder scrolls. Stuff like gta also work because they have multiple quests and things to do around the city. These quests mostly involve movement on this map as well instead of just tedium collection or beat up random bad guy once you arrive at this location. Car chases and all that. If you take out these things and just leave beat up bad guys after going to this location the map kinda becomes padding.. City had some neat side quests, sure, but the city itself was usually not a big part of the experience.
Still city did a lot of things better than asylum: it was a blast seeing some more of the series"s villians and playing as the cat for example. The boss fights were also a bit more varied instead of the same venom grunt fight over and over, even for the final boss in asylum..
Sorry, long post. Hope it turns out well and glad to see it is still getting a pc release like the others.

The main reason i'm hype for is SCARECROW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though in the trailer it doesn't sound like the same voice actor as in AA. Scarecrow in AA is the reason why he's my favortie supervillian.

Arkham Night is a new character added to the Batman universe by Rocksteady. He behaves like an antagonist, but I suspect he won't be the main villain.
Also:
You will naturally have car chases, but the most intriguing-looking use of the Batmobile we saw came in the form of a Riddler challenge. Mr. Nigma has this time set up a series of obstacle courses for Batman to drive through. We saw one of these, in which you must drive through the course three times under a time limit, with the trick being that the course will change a bit each time, with movable obstacle you’ll need to trigger with a button press as you go.
So at one point you’ll come up on, say a wall that you hit the action button to make it slide out of your way, but doing so brings out a second wall beyond the first, and you’ll have to hit the button again to move that second one but not until you’ve passed the location of the first one. That sort of thing is common, and there are similar spots involving moving platforms you’ll have to trigger at the right moment to cross large gaps. It’s platform-style racing, more or less.
Oh, and you can also drive on the walls and ceiling.

“Batman’s no-kill philosophy is pretty non-negotiable,” Ginn said. The game itself facilitates that, of course; thugs you’re speeding toward will try to get the hell out of your way, and those who don’t will be zapped by this Batmobile’s auto-taser gun.You will naturally have car chases, but the most intriguing-looking use of the Batmobile we saw came in the form of a Riddler challenge. This game needs to get here sooner.

Also, why does it feel like I'm the only one who likes the title and overall concept and design of the titular Arkham Knight?
