Doom or Animal Crossing

Since both games came out on the same day, did you buy Doom: Eternal or Animal Crossing: New Horizons? Maybe both? Any particular reason why you went one over the other?

I bought doom eternal, but I had to get animal crossing a few days later anyway, cause as fun as doom is I feel like I needed something I could play for a while right now?

Doom Eternal's main menu looks very bad imo, the colors are off.
Animal Crossing gets a little boring for me after like 5-10 minutes of picking it up.

I chose AC because I don't like playing console shooters and my PC isnt good enough for eternal. I've been having a blast in AC though

Is there really that much of a crossover between these two game's audiences? I mean, nothing against either game, and i realize people can have some broad tastes, but I think these two are pretty far on different ends of the spectrum.

I actually got both. When I feel like massacring and killing hordes of demons DOOM is great. When I feel like relaxing and unwinding AC is great. Next game I'm looking forward to though is FF7 remake.

Money is a little tight so waiting to buy doom on sale, can't really buy it at full price for the hours it gives.

animal crossing here! its helping me stay sane in these trying times. just got persona 5 the royal, and looking forward to ff7 coming out.

Doom Eternal mostly because I had tons of fun with the previous entry, while I figured that AC just wasn't for me as early as the Gamecube version of it.

AC too much time since i played one of the series and i really want to play, bad thing is i dont have a switch.

Bought both, but while I've been playing Animal Crossing daily I've only put maybe an hour into Doom. Maybe once I finish the game I was playing beforehand (Phoenix Wright Trilogy HD) I'll have more time for it...

got doom because I just was never interested in ac but I think I should try it out cause I hear alot of good things about it.
