How convenient, just as I was having a blast playing through DA:O again with mods.
They started working on Inquisition two years ago. It will be using the Frostbite 2.0 engine, and the producers promised they will listen to the players' critics and opinions hoping they won't fail this time like they did on the second episode.
No release date announced as of yet.
set for Autumn 2014

I'm kind of curios on who you are going to be this time. I really missed my Elf-Mage-Tank from Orgins, but at least in number two, hawke was voiced.

So I never played origins and went straight to number two and despite what some people said I had plenty of fun, loved the story, and i am thinking of playing through once more(can you romance the captain of the guard?) The really funny thing is I just beat Dragon Age 2 for the first time last night. Too bad the only indication of a release date is late next year. They said they're taking cues from Skyrim I hope not too many because that game was way over-hyped even though I did have a good time with that too for 200 hours.

I won't go as far as to say the second one was "bad" since I did finish it once and spend 27 hours on it. But compared to the first one it is a massive massive let down. The story just wasn't as captivating and the role play feel we all loved in the first one just wasn't there in DA2.

So apparently, the hero will be a human and a human only but the customization will be more "powerful" than what Origins had. The world will be much bigger as one of the areas in Inquisition will be bigger than the whole dragon age 2 map. The choices made in the previous two game will have an impact on the third and finally it is possible to "control/manage" your own castle, whatever it's supposed to mean.

I'm really excited, didn't mind DA2 but they could have done so much more. I felt so limited to the places you can go where as in Dragon Age Origins you had so many places to go. Ill be waiting to see what other news comes up for this in the near future.

being restricted to a single city (kirkwall) and navigating through various instances by means of city gates was a massive let down. I sure hope that the 3rd one will be expansive

Will definitely get this, but not on day one due to how DA2 turned out(personally thought it was ok) and the bugs. Hopefully they cut down the loading when I was playing DA2 every area of Kirkwall was like a 30 sec load its awful when you must go around talking to people or forgot something at the previous area u been and head back 30 sec loading :(

Side note: I am super excited for this game. The Role play aspects in DA:O were amazing, and the fast paced combat and graphics from DA2 were entertaining. They definitely fell short on 2, but I think they realize their folly and will deliver on Inquisition. At least I hope so.

A bit ironic that someone who hopes this game will be shit would revive the thread, but fear not, for I bring cynicism and ridicule.
First off, they weren't fucking around when they said they'd try to rip off skyrim:
Then there are the screenshots, which to me seem like obvious bullshit; also known as bullshots:
I imagine it was taken from the sexed up marketing build featured in this gameplay video Hentanize posted and made even more slutty through obnoxious bloom and other post-processing shit:
The final product will not look that good (chances of being that fuckable drop to 0% for consoles). Consider the curious cases of Watch Dogs and Dark Souls 2. I've adopted the wisdom of Georgy boy:
Also, the official Vivienne screenshot they made is hilarious. You can still find it on their blog.
Her staff is clipping through her hand and her facial expression is stoic while she's presumably in battle. Bioware quality work. (If you played ME3 then you probably also noticed the awkwardly stoic expressions there, too.)

One of the games I am so excited for. I am actually one of the few people who liked DA2. It had its flaws, but to me I loved the battle system to it and the overall story. Now of course the reusing maps, not having as much control on what your teammates wear, and stores not having really many items worth buying were my gripes about it. So looking so much forward to this. ^^
Edit: 11/11
The game comes out next week and reviews already coming out. The two sites I usually trust most, IGN and Gamespot, gave the game a 8.8 and 9 respectively. I wish this was coming out today instead of AC cause 80+hours of gameplay at least....sign me up lol.
