E3 Hype

1
With E3 just a few months away and all the hype and rumos flying everywere. I wanted to ask you guys:

1. What are you most existed about?

2. What big reaveles do you think we will see?

3. Who's conference do you think will be on top this year?

Just a gamer shooting some questions :D!

1.I'm a sony fanboy, so I'm looking forward to whatever's in store for playstation I'm satisfied with the games that are out now, so nothing atm.

2. I'm hoping the Playstation 5 gets revealed. Although, I do feel bad for the ones who invested in the Pro.

3. Either Ninty or Playstation. Microsoft has been hush hush about any upcoming games they may or may not have, so they're the dark horse right now. Losing Scalebound was a huge let down for many people, so they better pull something out of their ass for E3.

1. More games. Hopefully a new vita, VN on the go and rpgs on the go are the best, but I won't hold my breath. But yeah I have too many games to play right now so yeah.

2. I hope a new devil may cry but maybe nep nep will be on stage lol a new halo would be cool but I really want a new metroid

3. That depends MS is in a good spot idk of any of the games they have coming. Sony might have a few things in store but I think they will just show the same games again and a few new ones. But I think for me Sony will win if they do what they did last year by not telling me to pre order everything and just show the games like I know if I want something or not.

1. Possible PC ports of any games.
2. Not too sure what I'd hope for actually. a Smash Bros Switch version or maybe CD Projekt's new IP or something. I still have to get on top of The Witcher 3 for the PC but other games have been on my mind, ie Nier Automata, Tales of Berseria, XIV, and Witcher's just collecting digital dust.
3. Nintendo, due to the success of the Switch and impending doom of their consoles increasing due to parts shortage(http://www.tweaktown.com/news/57795/nintendo-switch-price-rise-due-parts-shortage/index.html) if they can deliver games that are exciting from third party devs then Nintendo takes it for this year's E3.

  • More PC ports. Would love for more Platinum Games, Grasshopper or early Halo games.

  • Expecting another trailer for Death Stranding. Excited for that.

  • Maybe some news about the new Danganronpa game.

Other than that I hope we get to see more new games from good studio/directors. I can't think of any specific sequels I want more of.

I don't think any of the conferences can "win". I just want more good games on PC.

And what's wrong with asking for more games on the PC? That's like you saying there isn't anything wrong with having a lot of games on smartphones yet you take issue with the PCMR asking for PC ports.

Part of it might be PC elitists boasting about being the best constantly but here we have begging for ports of console games. It's kind of like, if you're so good, why do you need help from consoles to be better.

I'm not really invested, but that's how I'm interpreting it.

Elitists are going to be like that no matter what group he, she, or some made up gender belongs to. But if you want my take as a PC gamer: If games come for the PC that have my interest ie FPS, puzzle, adventure, lewd to name some genres, then I will show some love and give them my hard earned moolah. Vanquish and Bayonetta for example, I have both on my PS3 before I converted when Skyrim came out, bought them on PC when they came out.

Fresh, new games exclusive to the pc is one thing, but asking for ports from consoles makes you seem thirsty (if not greedy). What's wrong, is the grass actually greener on the other side?

The grass is never greener regardless of what platform I'm on but I guess in your mindset all Console players are a bunch of saints while the PCMR are the devil because we want to optimize games to the full extent.

Also greedy? Uhhhhhhhhhh huh.... so I guess that means you'll get a bitch fit any time Sega announces a PC version of their older games in the coming months. Vanquish and Bayonetta are a couple of examples besides Valkyria Chronicles on PC that released a few years ago.

Games have a longer life cycle on PC. And they generally look much better and run much smoother.

What I mean with longer life is mod support. Mods have made games that are only playable on older versions of Windows playable on newer versions, added netplay to substitute dead servers, made games run better or added new content to them.

Vanquish got a new chance on PC after failing to meet expectations on consoles. So I think porting games to PC is vital.

Like any person I want more games for my platform. Console exclusive games are stupid as fuck and will not help the consumer what so ever. You're actively punishing someone for buying one console over another. We should support new good games regardless of the platform you own. We're not being elitist when we say that we want more good games. Stop it with the console wars or console vs PC. You already know what you're getting by supporting either.

I just found it ironic how everywhere I go, pc enthusiasts pick fun of or highly suggest console gamers go to pc, because pc gaming is somehow superior. Yet, here I find two pc elitists asking for console ports. I understand the part about wanting more games, but from consoles though? If pc is so much better, why do you want console games?

Exclusives are just as important as 3rd party games. It ensures that the system you're playing on is actually bringing something unique to the table. Otherwise, everyone would solely be comparing games by graphics...oh, wait.

Anyways, I don't mind the idea of porting older console games to pc, since that's already being done via emulation anyways. However, when it comes to new games, that shit needs time to breath on the consoles for a few years. Some of the best games I've played on pc, were console ports anyways.

Why is there a difference between pc and console games? You can also play on PC with a controller if you want. I do that for Platinum games or for fighting games. Every console is pretty much just a pc inside a smaller box, the only difference is how you play it and even then you can customize your pc to do the same.

PC is objectively superior. You can play games smoother and make it look better on PC. People buy consoles to get a 'it just werks' box and to be able to play on the tv. Which is totally fin. The trade off is the price for a up to date PC and the need for maintenance, for some they rather not deal with that. Again, that's fine.

Yes but you're punishing the people that doesn't own the other console. If I want both Persona 5 and the new Halo then I have to purchase both the consoles, which is a lot of money. Consoles are usually the ones that pushes for games to look better but run worse. For PC, 60 fps has become the universal standard and for every game that doesn't have that, there's usually a guide how to mod the game to meet those standards.

Why does it need to breath on consoles? There's a clear difference in expectations for PC and console buyers. It's like people buying iOS over Android. You should know what why you're buying that specific os. I don't understand why console users should feel bad about games getting on PC. You can still play the games you want on console.

>Pc is expensive
>Buying two/three consoles is expensive

Pick your poison sir.

Like you said, some people can't really afford to buy more than one console. While others only buy a console that suits their gaming needs. Likewise, I can see why the casual gamer stays away from pc gaming. I guess from your point of view, it wouldn't matter since a console player wouldn't likely switch to pc just because the system's exclusives is on there. I can see the benefits of games being on pc. It has better graphics, mods, etc.

My initial argument wasn't that there's a big difference between pc and console. I was just pointing out the smug attitude of pc elitists
who shit on console gaming, but then want games exclusive to consoles. Since I believe in exclusives and you don't, we'll just have to leave it at that.

So, Sony's conference was pretty shitty. Nothing coming out this year and it was mostly just trailers. They could have probably done a direct like Nintendo lol. I feel like since Sony is so far ahead of the others in sales, they don't really care since people will go to PS4 for multi-plats this holiday season anyway. Well, now just to see what Nintendo has.

Microsoft's conferences had mostly already known games and all of them being released within the year or early next year. While Sony's was the exact opposite.
