Very interesting project I stumbled upon. Apparently there is a 2D fighter based on Final Fantasy 7 where you can play as either Cloud or Tifa. There's a co-op mode and you can utilize materia and summons in addition to the hack and slash nature of the game.
Here is the article, and here is the game's website which is free to play on your browser or on your desktop. From what I hear only one level is completed, but it really does look cool.
I don't like playing incomplete games, but I'll be keeping an eye on the progress cause it looks cool.
